Last summer, the Steelers were upset that some of the coverage of arrests at a Kenny Chesney concert appeared to cast Heinz Field in a bad light.

A recent Luke Bryan concert at the stadium led to another round of arrests and citations and the Steelers have responded with a statement from Director of Stadium Management Jimmie Sacco. The team emphasized that most fans at the concert enjoyed themselves without getting arrested and that the concert was a good event for the city as a whole.

“Luke Bryan attracted thousands of fans to the City of Pittsburgh and generated a significant economic impact to the area,” Sacco said in the statement. “I’d like to thank the City of Pittsburgh Police Department and the many other workers who provided support for the concert and allowed a record-breaking crowd to enjoy a great event at Heinz Field. Although a small number of fans showed a lack of respect for the area, we are pleased that so many fans were well-behaved and enjoyed a beautiful night in our city. We will continue to work with the City of Pittsburgh and all of our support partners to improve the efficiency of hosting large events that attract thousands of visitors to the region.”

There isn’t another big country music act booked at the stadium this summer, leaving plenty of time for everyone to improve the efficiency in time for 2015.
