Falcons waive WR Dominique Croom, have three open roster spots

The Falcons have opened another roster spot, announcing the release of wide receiver Dominique Croom on Tuesday.

The departure of Croom leaves the Falcons with 87 players, according to their online roster. This would give Atlanta three vacant roster slots.

A Central Arkansas product, Croom signed with the Falcons’ practice squad last November. He entered the NFL with Cleveland as an undrafted rookie in 2013. Croom will be subject to waivers.

The Falcons have 11 wide receivers on their roster, with Julio Jones, Roddy White and Harry Douglas the top three at the position.

  1. Tramaine Thompson will make this roster. Dude is skilled af. Also, Falcs should take a look at bringing back WR Martel Moore. Training camp stud last offseason before getting hurt.

  2. I don’t think it matters what wideouts are on the roster if Julio Jones and Roddy White are healthy.

  3. My source tells me the three open roster spots have a terrific chance at making the final 53 cut.

  4. Won’t matter unless Matt Ryan becomes a different player. Falcons look bad going into this season honestly. Offensive line is putrid.
