The Texans are hopeful that linebacker Jadeveon Clowney will be ready for training camp after having sports hernia surgery recently, but there are other questions about the injury in light of Clowney’s revelation that he played through the injury at South Carolina in the 2013 season.

John McClain of the Houston Chronicle will join Mike Florio on Friday’s edition of PFT Live to talk about Clowney’s injury and what it might mean for his ability to make an immediate impact on defense for the Texans. They’ll also discuss the team’s decision to install Ryan Fitzpatrick as their starting quarterback, wide receiver Andre Johnson’s dissatisfaction with the team’s current standing and much more during the program.

We’ll then close the week by seeing what’s on the mind of PFT Planet. Florio will be taking questions sent in on Twitter — @ProFootballTalk — and on the phone — 888-237-5269 — during the show.

It all gets started at noon ET and you can watch it all live by clicking right here.

  1. But McClain is clueless about Texans. He is waay past his prime especially once Kubiak is no longer around to feed him – figuratively and literally. He gas been wrong since he advocated keeping Kubiak and guaranteed a QB with 1st round pick for Texans.
