The Dolphins officially signed offensive guard Daryn Colledge, the club said Monday evening.
It’s a one-year contract for Colledge, who has started 97 consecutive regular season games since 2007 in stints with the Packers (2007-2010) and Cardinals (2011-2013). The Cardinals released Colledge in March.
Colledge, 32, was one of four offensive linemen whom the Dolphins auditioned on Monday.
Per the club’s online roster, Colledge’s addition would give Miami 91 players, which means a corresponding move would be needed to clear a spot for him. The signing of Colledge was not listed in the NFL’s Monday transactions, which were released earlier in the day.
Colledge’s addition could suggest the Dolphins are, at least for the moment, focused upon in-house candidates to fill in for center Mike Pouncey, who had hip surgery last week.
