The Lions practiced without running back Joique Bell during OTAs and minicamp as Bell made his way back from a knee injury, but it doesn’t look like they’ll have to go without him when training camp opens later this month.

Bell, who signed a three-year extension with the team this offseason, received clearance to start running at full speed two weeks ago. Bell says that has gone well and that he will report to camp a few days early to make sure all remains well with the knee, but he doesn’t have much doubt that he’s fit enough to get back on the field.

“I’m feeling 100 percent,” Bell said, via MLive.com. “I’m feeling great.”

What role he’ll play with Reggie Bush and Theo Riddick also in the picture is a bit unclear, but Bell’s 1,197 combined rushing and receiving yards and that new contract should make it a prominent one.
