More money for Manziel

NFL: 2014 NFL Draft

The Browns were alarmed by Johnny Manziel’s offseason, off-field endeavors. Advertisers apparently aren’t, which allows Manziel to make the money sign, repeatedly.

With the help of the management firm owned by LeBron James and Maverick Carter, Manziel has racked up another endorsement. Which will yield more dollars that can either be deposited in the bank or rolled up tightly for reasons neither known nor apparent and not at all suspicious. Via SportsBusiness Daily, MusclePharm has signed Manziel to a multi-year endorsement deal. Other NFL players who do business with that specific company include Jets receiver Eric Decker and 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

“Manziel is an electrifying athlete and a proven winner with a rare and dynamic athleticism,” MusclePharm CEO and founder Brad Pyatt said. “His work ethic combined with his relentless competitive drive make him an ideal fit for the MusclePharm brand. We are excited for the future.”

For Manziel, it’s the latest addition to a portfolio that includes Nike, McDonald’s, Nissan, and Snickers. And he’s still not officially the starting quarterback of his team.
