Chris Conte among 10 Bears not playing Thursday

Bears free safety Chris Conte, whom the club activated earlier this week, is one of 10 players who’s not suiting up for Thursday’s night’s game vs. Jacksonville, the team’s official Twitter feed said this evening.

Offensive guard Eben Britton, cornerback Isaiah Frey, right tackle Jordan Mills, tight end Dante Rosario, center/guard Brian de la Puente, safety Craig Steltz, wide receiver Chris Williams, wide receiver Marquess Wilson and defensive end Willie Young are also sitting for Chicago, the team said.

According to Rich Campbell of the Chicago Tribune, the Bears’ 10 inactives all have a known current injury save for Young, the former Lions defensive end.

The 25-year-old Conte, who’s vying to keep his starting spot, had shoulder surgery in the spring.
