The Seattle Seahawks looked strikingly similar to the team that won the Super Bowl in February in the first half of their preseason game with the San Diego Chargers.

The Chargers looked a lot like the Denver Broncos, which isn’t a good thing in this instance. Seattle dominated the first half with most of their starters playing well into the second quarter.

Russell Wilson led the Seahawks to a 24-0 lead while out-gaining the Chargers by a margin of 255-42 with their starters in the game.

Robert Turbin rushed for 81 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries while Wilson ran for two scores as well as Seattle ran circles around San Diego’s defense.

Wilson completed 11 of 13 passes for 121 yards as Seattle scored on all four possessions with Wilson at the helm. Percy Harvin caught four passes for 31 yards in the half as well.

The Chargers defense looked slow compared to Seattle’s offense and got pushed around at times by the Seahawks offensive line. Right tackle D.J. Fluker also struggled significantly to block defensive end Cliff Avril for much of the half.

Philip Rivers played just one series for the Chargers before yielding control to Kellen Clemens.

Clemens led the Chargers to a late touchdown drive at the end of the half with a 13-yard touchdown pass to Keenan Allen after Seattle had turned to their second-team defense.

Seattle leads 27-7 with 9:09 left in the third quarter after a 55-yard field goal from Steven Hauschka.

While it still just the preseason, the Seahawks don’t seem to have missed a step.
