Plenty of players who made it onto the 53-man roster for their various teams shouldn’t celebrate yet.
With news flying about players who have been claimed on waivers after Saturday’s roster cuts, those roster spots filled by the new arrivals must be offset via the creation of a corresponding roster spot.
Which means that guys who didn’t receive a visit from the Turk on Saturday (apparently, some players now call him the Reaper) may be receiving today a request to meet the coach and to bring the playbook.
Which will trigger another round of potential waiver claims and ensuing waivers, with a cycle that won’t end until the rosters freeze for each team once its season ends.
