The Cardinals have signed a second punter to their roster in advance of tonight’s opener vs. the Chargers.
The team has signed Drew Butler, the club’s website reported Monday. The 25-year-old Butler punted in 16 regular season games for Pittsburgh in 2012. He has also had stints with Detroit and Chicago.
The addition of Butler comes with Cardinals regular punter Dave Zastudil questionable with a left groin injury. A left-footed punter, Zastudil was limited in practice on Saturday with the injury.
A Georgia product, the right-footed Drew Butler is the son of former NFL kicker Kevin Butler, who spent 13 seasons in the NFL.
