Ravens wide receiver Steve Smith has already played a game, and has another one tonight.
But it’s clear his mind has raced ahead.
During a telling moment captured during the NBCSN’s NFL Turning Point, Smith showed how ready he is for his Sept. 28 meeting with his old team, the Panthers.
After his 80-yard touchdown catch, which included stiff-arming Bengals cornerback Adam Jones violently to the ground, Smith had a message for his old club.
“Hey, if you [expletive] think I can’t play, you’re gonna find out in Week Four, [expletive]!” Smith yelled into the camera.
Smith had already promised “blood and guts” when he sees the team that cut him abruptly this offseason after 13 years.
And it’s obvious that time hasn’t softened that feeling.
