The Lions’ go-to receiver has shown up on the injury report.
Calvin Johnson did not participate in practice Wednesday because of an ankle ailment, the team disclosed on its league-required injury list.
According to multiple reports, Johnson injured his ankle during Sunday’s victory vs. the Packers. However, Johnson said Wednesday he’s “not concerned about” the injury costing him any games, Justin Rogers of MLive.com reported.
The 28-year-old Johnson has caught 19 passes for 329 yards and two touchdowns for Detroit (2-1). In the past, he has routinely appeared on the injury report only to suit up on game day. He has played in 109-of-115 regular season games in his NFL career.
The Lions play at the Jets (1-2) on Sunday afternoon.
