The 49ers have had a rough start, and it got even rougher when one of their top players limped to the locker room.
Tight end Vernon Davis went down in the third quarter and injured his lower back. He got up on his own power, but he was struggling to walk back to the locker room. He looked like he was in pain, and the fact that the team’s medical staff quickly ruled him out for the rest of the game is not a good sign.
The 49ers also lost right tackle Anthony Davis to a knee injury. And Eagles left tackle Jason Peters also limped off the field as well.
In an injury-filled game, the Eagles currently lead the 49ers 21-13.
