Bernard Pollard leaves on crutches, possible Achilles injury

Even after blowing a 25-point lead to lose to the Browns, things might be getting worse for the Titans.

Via Jim Wyatt of the Tennesseean, Titans coach Ken Whisenhunt said safety Bernard Pollard may have suffered an Achilles injury.

Pollard left the locker room on crutches, which is certainly not a good sign for the veteran safety.

The only good news for the Titans is that the X-rays on quarterback Jake Locker’s right thumb were negative. He injured it in the second quarter when he slammed it into the helmet of Browns cornerback Buster Skrine.

Locker said he’d have an MRI Monday, but didn’t offer much more than that.

  1. Dirtiest player in the league over the last several years and not anyone else in the league who deserves an injury like this more.

I wouldn’t have wished injury on any player, but I don’t feel at all bad for this guy getting injured.

  2. <Average safety that talks to much, doesn't back it up and eventually ends up hurting a team more than he helps it.
bring on Damion Stafford. TITAN UP!

  3. I have never celebrated the injury of a player on this site, not one time.

    Until now.

  4. Why do people think Pollard is sooo dirty? He’s not dirtier than any other safety in the league. He hits hard & talks trash. Yes a few players have been injured on CLEAN, LEGAL tackles he has made in the past. Somehow that’s his fault? It’s his fault that Ridley lowered his head into Pollards & got knocked out? It’s his fault Gronkowski is made of glass? It’s his fault Welker tore his knee up when he didn’t even make contact with him? You people are ridiculous.

That said, he says some mind-blowingly stupid stuff sometimes.
