Doug Baldwin isn’t happy with the Seahawks losing

AP

Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray didn’t talk to reporters after Sunday’s win over Seattle.  In contrast, Seahawks receiver Doug Baldwin talked plenty.

Via Curtis Crabtree of KJR radio (and part time at PFT), Baldwin sounded off in the locker room regarding the struggles of the Seattle offense.

Asked whether it was difficult for the offense to get into a rhythm because the Seahawks didn’t have the ball much, Baldwin said, “No. F–k that. We had plenty of time. We had plenty of time to making f–king plays on the field. Plenty of time.”

Said receiver Ricardo Lockette from two lockers away: “Deep breath, Doug. Deep breath.”

Baldwin, who contributed a touchdown by blocking a punt, then was asked about the contents of an “animated” conversation with quarterback Russell Wilson.

“What you think, man?  We’re frustrated.  The offense can’t f–king move the ball. We’ve got too much f–king talent over here not to be moving the ball.  It’s not on Russ.  I’m saying in general, our offense, we’re too just f–king good not to be moving the ball down the field.  I’m not mad at Russ at all, it’s a collaborative thing.  We’ve all got to pitch in and do our part. We’ve all got to be better.”

Yes they do. The defending champions are 3-2.  And they’ve lost at home, in the place believed to be an impenetrable fortress.

The Cowboys showed it isn’t.  And now the hunted are going to have to figure out how to do some hunting, all over again.

  1. Yea? What’s with the play calling? On your own 23 and you call a timeout and go for it with 2:40 left? Why not punt it? Then call the timeout after the first play? Fans are do ready for Bevell to leave. That is what cost the game Doug. . Shut up and own the loss

  2. Bevel needs to stop fantasizing about Percy every play. Get back to what they do best…pount the rock from an I formation and play action for the big hit.

  3. Could it have happened to a more hated team in the nfl?
I would love to know how many people were rooting for dallas….
    gooooooooooo49ers

  4. Richard Sherman looked average at best and the Seahawks offense is vastly overrated to begin with.

They spoke of a dynasty in the making, but can’t even handle being the champs.

  5. Bring back Ground Chuck!

Oh wait most Seahawks fans just started paying attention 2 or 3 years ago and have no idea who I am referring to. Apologies.

  6. The current state of the Seahawks is nothing more than the current landscape of the NFL: The league is designed for parity and the parity can mirror mediocrity.

The Hawks looked to be a pending dynasty after they thrashed Peyton and the boys in the Super Bowl, but they’ve simply returned back to the pack.

Now–more than ever–the NFL is a week-to-week proposition with no team towering over others.

It’s simply the way the league has designed it. Whether or not that’s a good or a bad thing is open for interpretation and discussion.

sounds like “whining” to me almost like hes a “whiner” right trolls?

No! Whiners complain about how it’s not their fault, like the Santa Clara team. Baldwin was complaining about the team’s own struggles…THAT’S PASSION!!!

WAH! Cry louder. We can’t hear you over the artificial crowd noise.

    ——–

Are you still talking windbag? You just lost to the Browns. Go get ready for transition to the SFL. Maybe Troy could actually tackle someone in that league.

  9. Love watching Pete chewing his cud like a cow on meth. Then nothing but crickets from the 12th man. Classic. 3-2 right now means waaay more than 43-8 last year eh scw…..@scw? That’s what I thought.

  10. Doug Baldwin hasn’t accomplished enough to talk like that. Richard Sherman should remind him that he’s a nobody in this league.

  11. There is a lot of Seahawks hate going on. It’s not surprising…people wouldn’t dislike them so much if their fans showed a little humility. They’re like a kid in high school who gets bullied for 3 years and when they finally get their chance to take it out on some freshmen, they take it a little too far.

  12. Darrell Bevell, next coach of the Atlanta Falcons where he will resurrect Matt Ryan’s career…oh shoot I just spit my drink out #%€*

  13. No… you would not rather have Roman. Bevell just like Roman just needs to remember where the bread and butter of that team is. Running the ball.

  14. I am flabbergasted the Hawks lost at the line of scrimmage it could be that theChargers and now the Cowboys has shown the rest of league that they can be had there.Punch back and they fall.

  15. “Earlier in the week, the defensive players were joking with the media about how the would definitely be limiting Murray to “under 100 yards”. Still laffing, guys??”

    LOL!
The Cowboys rushed for 162 yards on the “#1 ranked rush defense”
First downs: Cowboys 23, Seahawks 9
Total yards: Cowboys 401, Seahawks 206

    Lil Rusty’s stat line: Completion rate: 50%, YPA: 4.5, 0TD, 1INT.

This was an undressing, at home. No wonder Doug Baldwin and the rest of the 1/2 men are upset.

  16. Years ago I felt bad for Seattle and hoped they would win one.n

But between the way.they did it, via Carroll, Cable, roids, dirty play, and their magpie fans, it would not bother me if they never won.a.single game ever.

    Pure embarrassment to the sport.

  17. There were probably a billion people rooting for Dallas today. That’s what you get, 12th Bag.

get used to it, your luck appears to be running on empty – even Marshawn was laughing about it…

  18. Don’t like losing? Don’t whine to the cameras about it and go do something about it. Nice blocked punt but it’s mid October and you have a grand total of 14 catches and that’s with Percy Harvin drawing the double teams and safety help. You call yourself a starter? lolwut

  19. Going from last year, first the Seahawks lose to the 9-7 Chargers then they lose to the 8-8 Cowboys. Checking upcoming schedule. . . . . . .Oh man, its the 7-9 Rams.

  20. Doug. I know you’re a bit angry, but is it really necessary to drop that many f-bombs. Wonder what your momma thinks!!! Just stop it!!!

  21. Oh my God, we lost. It’s not the end of the world, though most of these childish haters would think so. Are we not supposed to champion our team? That is the job of a fan, isn’t it? We rub in each other’s face when one gets the better of the other one. Dallas played a great game and we got beat by a good team, so on to next week. This should be the thing we need to regain that fire, although I wish Chancellor had gotten that surgery to remove those bone fragments from his ankle. He’s a tough man. Next team up and lets get a win! Next week, we go 1-0. Today’s game is history. Next time we play, we will own you Cowboys! Good game and Go Hawks!!!

  22. For what it’s worth, the Seahawks shouldn’t have even been in the game at that point.

A fluke center-quartberack exchange giving Seattle prime field positioning led to a TD that may not have happened otherwise. There was also that muffed punt by Harris, which Seattle had nothing to do with.

  23. People who can actually remember last season know Seattle’s field isn’t an “impenetrable fortress.” Arizona beat them there last year, as much as the entire media would’ve liked everyone to forget about it for their “Seattle has the best homefield advantage in the league, listen to all that noise” hype. Saints haven’t lost at home with Sean Payton on the sideline since 2010.

  24. Shame on Bevel this loss rests directly on the offensive coordinator, and Pete Carroll to allow the game plan to continue. When you have one of the best running backs in the league you don’t hand him the ball two times in the first half and 10 times total all game. They also have one of the fastest wide receivers in the game (Percy Harvin) and yet don’t use him as an actual wide receiver. Gadget plays are great and all, but once in awhile, not every time he gets the ball. Let him use that speed to get open deep.

And for anyone that says Sherman got burned, you’re an idiot. The team should reevaluate leaving him on one side only because once Maxwell went out and Sherman had to mirror Bryant the whole game, Bryant was shut down.

Congrats to the ‘Boys for playing like a football team should play.

  25. 5th game into the season and we’re 3-2, tied for 2nd place in the NFC West, 1-game out of 1st place. The playoffs are completely different from the regular season and we could still end up with the exact regular season record as last year, which culminated into a Super Bowl victory in the playoffs. We’re still the defending Super Bowl Champions in the meantime, so hate all you want, because we still truly believe in our team 🙂 Sorry haters…Don’t hate the playa, hate the game 😉 Go Seahawks!!!

  26. Icallbs81, I’m a 52year old 100% disabled veteran of the U.S. Marines (80s,) and U.S. Army (90s,) who graduated from the University of Washington when the VA paid for my schooling from 2004-2007, with two degrees. I was awarded 9-medals, serving my country, two of which are the same medal twice. Don’t pretend to know me, kid.

  27. Seahawks are finding out every team gives last year’s SB winner their bet shot. They can play poorly almost every other game of the year but everybody wants to beat the reigning champ and give their best effort.

  28. Stnelson217, I agree with you 100%! Why do we continue to handicap ourselves by having our allstar running back play as a receiver and star receiver play as a running back? Also, those dropped balls by Kearse and Wilson need to be cleaned up…Why Russell kept going to them, when they were clearly off their game is a mystery to me. But, fixing things early in the season is better than having to fix them late in the season 😉

your point is spot on…problem is until the hawks get this experience the idiot fans are going to keep beating their chests proclaiming the seahawks as the best dynasty ever in the NFL….ALL after one lousy super bowl win. There are many teams in the NFL that have won one. Only 3 have won 5 or more.

  31. True lurch61, but we all express our total joy in winning the Super Bowl in different ways and when you think of it, this is a very small minority of the fans. Waiting lists for tickets are years long and there are probably a 100 posters every week that are obnoxious and a few thousand fans that are obnoxious. Most real fans, like myself haven’t been able to afford a game ticket since the days of Jim Zorn and Steve Largent. lol Please don’t judge the average Seahawk fan by the new mean-spirited-fanatics.

  32. Plenty of blame and credit to Cowboys.
That said, that guy doesn’t make the 17 yard catch for the first down on the sideline on third down with 3 mins to go and maybe it goes the other way.

Bevell with some poor play calling and Wilson with some poor decision making and over thinking, combined with some untimely drips. Missing Miller as the good blocker and reliable safety valve.

Funny how all the haters come out. Niner trolls be expected (Teams both 3-2,no?) but all the other teams “fans”, 95% who wish they had a team with Seattle’s problems, including the Cowboys who’ve proved nothing in past years to believe this is any different.

3-1 in conference and 6 division games to play. Was never going to be easy, just like it wasn’t last year, just have to adjust and power through the slumps.

  33. instead of coming out and pounding the ball, it seems like the seahawks tried to get harvin involved in the offense early which threw off the whole seahawks offense.

  34. i can see why doug baldwin and richard sherman didn’t get along that well with Harbaugh in college. Both are kind of hot headed and believe they are a lot better than they really are. Not saying Harbaugh is right, just noticing that doesn’t really fit with how he likes players to act.

  35. Who is bitter? Marching to 7 rings- did you see how the Stella did today? Ariani – Vikings didn’t score a td today

  36. Hey 12th Bag: Your team is 22nd in the league in Pass D, and it shows. Your “elite” QB is 25th in passing yards, tied for 10th in passing TD’s, AND (if it wasn’t made painfully obvious today) he can’t throw from the pocket. You really got lucky with your win at Washington on MNF, with your cute little midget “scrambling” for all those yards – but let’s be real:

Your D isn’t the “vaunted force” of 2012, your O is average, and penalties are killing you – Dallas spotted you 17 at home and you still lost.

Legion of Boom? LOL. More like Legion of Laundry

  37. Let’s give some credit where credit is due. The Cowboys played a really good game. They ran the ball effectively when most have not against us, and they passed the ball effectively on 3rd downs. That spectacular catch by Williams was the turning point. And when the Hawks had the ball, with 3 minutes to go to try and engineer a win, we couldn’t get it done.

So the Hawks are 3-2, and their two losses have been to two teams who are collectively 10-2 themselves (or, 8-2 in games not involving the Hawks). I’d say we’re playing like a good team but not like world-beaters. Fortunately there are still 10 games left in the regular season to try and get better.

  38. Wow. Looks like a lot of people are having a lot of fun today trashing on the ‘hawks over one loss. I hope you all enjoyed yourselves, considering how much of the season is left to play. And now Doug Baldwin is angry.

And you’re not going to like Doug Baldwin when he’s angry.

  39. What do you know? The league comes to an agreement on hgh testing and the pedhawks get pushed around on their own field. #CHEATS

  40. Wilson reminds me a lot of Joe Flacco; sometimes he does the impossible, sometimes he’s can’t do a darn thing right.

Greg Cosell said it best. Every player in the NFL can play at a very high level. The thing that separates the elite from the average in this league is the ability to do it consistently.

  41. Hawks flat out got dominated in all facets of the game except special teams. Hopefully, a wake up call, but haven’t seen anything so far this year to indicate that they are more than a 9-7 team. Pete and John blew this year’s draft by leaving Sua-filo on the board to trade down for Richardson.

  42. Loved seeing the Seahawk receivers whine and look for a penalty flag after every incomplete pass.

I guess it’s okay for the Seahawk DB’s to grab and hold on every play but not when it happens to them.

See you in Super Bowl XLIX… if you can get there without buying a ticket that is.

    Sincerely,
    Bronco Nation

  43. So let me get this straight. Sherman finally shadows an elite WR once Maxwell got hurt. He then gives up 2 receptions and 0 TDs to said elite receiver and he “looks average”? I seriously don’t get people. The fact that you guys think you’re better talent evaluators than these NFL players, analysts and coaches is laughable. You’d be hard pressed to find anyone with a valid opinion that says Sherman isn’t top 3 or at worst top 5. He could save a bunch of kids and puppies from a burning building and you guys would still criticize him.

  44. I wish that people wouldn’t try to think they are funny, and or reference sayings that were never once funny would quit embarrassing themselves. It’s one loss so big deal, so quit trying to use the same played out ped jokes and all that other not funny crap, maybe be original and not be a useless troll…

  45. Russell Wilson is only redeeming quality on that whole team…and he’s
going to want to get paid thus weakening the team even more…

  46. Looks like Seadderal and Cheat Carroll need to find a new way to cheat. One and done. Meanwhile, the Packers are on a path to their 14th NFL title. Seadderall has the most whiney fans in football and by far the largest bandwagon….. well, its a close call with Minnysoda.

  47. The Seahawks are finding out that winning a title is tough, but defending it, even tougher.

  48. 12th man? Seattle must have felt like Dallas had 12 men one the field the whole game. #Dominate

  49. Ok Hawk fans lets remember if we win this week we will be 4-2 (last year we were 5-1) after 6 games. Last week Russ was the MVP now he’s no good? Its a game we got pushed around in no doubt , we got some guys hurt and neither plan on O or D worked. I would feel the same way Doug does and I like to see he’s pissed about it cause any real fan of this team felt and feels the same way. Until the team is out of the post season hunt thier still in it so hang in there. Good job Cowboys now lets see where your at the end of the year. The Chiefs were 9-0 last year how’d they do?

  50. Staying on top is usually more challenging than getting there as the Seahawks will see they are now the hunted. The Cowboys took the fight to them on both sides of the ball. It wasn’t even as close as the score.

  51. stnelson217 says:

the reason you don’t do this is because you don’t have QB who can read a defense and make throws out of the pocket. its actually really simple. and they stopped running the ball because Dallas stuffed them. Lynches stats only look decent due to the one long run.

Until Seattle gets a real QB they aren’t going anywhere. Dallas showed the rest of the league the blueprint to beat them

  52. Just a thought but if you are going to accumulate talent on your offense modeling it after a college roster, then shouldn’t you then go and and acquire an OC who actually knows how to use that talent?

  53. No, Doug. You’re not that talented. You are in your heads, but you’re not on the field. Teams are figuring our how to play with the noise in your stadium and your team no longer has an advantage. You will now be exposed for the mediocre team that you are. One can only hope that there is more frustration like yours, and your team’s lack of discipline and guidance will lead to implosion. Good to have high character leaders like SheMan to fall back on.

What are ya gonna do if Wilson goes down? Your next best offensive player is the kicker.

  54. If this was happening in the Niners’ locker room/sideline, PEDHawks fans would be saying stuff like “implosion” or “let the meltdown begin”.

But because this is happening only to Seasterisk, I say “HAHAHAHAHA!”

  55. Happy Monday Seasterisk fans! What lovely weather we’re having…nice sunny day.

Oh wait. I hear it’s gonna rain there later today. My bad.

  56. Not easy as it looks …this REPEATING THING …is it now? I thought you guys were the greatest of all time? 10-6 maybe a wild card.

  57. Fans of teams NOT the seahawks. Your guys do this. Your teams also lose games they shouldn’t, etc, etc. Us true Hawks fans are disappointed, but not flipping out. Its a long season.

  58. Seahawks OC called a terrible game. It obviously wasn’t working and he just kept trying to be cute with the play calling.

Also, I love how Sherman is a topic of discussion in this thread as if he had anything to do with it. The guy actually played man coverage A LOT throughout the game, went to the opposite side of the field, and still only had two completions on him. TWO. That means he had great coverage on other plays or they didn’t even test him. Will you people shut up already about Sherman getting “beat”? Show me any corner in the NFL that gets 0 catches against him every week for the entire season.

  59. The “me” guys are starting to hurt the “we.” Baldwin needs to learn there’s better ways to make points than screaming at guys in the locker room. And Sherman should stop the weekly reports on how great he is and just play football.

  60. Hate to admit it but looks like we were wrong about the Superbowl hangover.

Baldwin implying people aren’t paying attention in meetings.

Coaches worrying more about style than substance – come on man, the Beast averages over 6 YPC and can only get 10 carries? Bevell more worried about getting credit for his genius than just running it down their throats.

  61. The PFT hater’s love to hate them some Seahawks. They couldn’t believe how the Seahawks manhandled their ‘favored chosen one’ to a SB win.

Sorry ladies…you can’t change history…what’s dun is DUN! Best defensive stand since the ’85 Bears, and the only defense EVER to shut down the finest offensive team the NFL has EVER seen.

Back to your slobbering over Romo….like he’s going to win you a Championship….he couldn’t even beat the ‘banged up’ 9er’s…good luck with that!

    Brilliant analysis.

    You must be Aikman.

If we just don’t count the good plays, there weren’t many good plays.

    Brilliant.

  66. Until Sherman learns to respect someone other than himself, the entire world will continue to hate on the seahawks. Think about it, every bar in America was rooting for the Cowboys. nuff said

  67. Seahawks – Until you replace Bevell, and generate an actual passing game you’ll be too one dimensional to be offensively competitive. The worst defense in the league knows going in that you ALWAYS attempt to run on first down, and you NEVER attempt to throw the ball beyond 5 yards down field, and the majority of time this idiot of an OC attempts to run plays with Harvin 5 or plus yards behind the line of scrimmage. Who in their right mind would do that? And you’re paying this Bevell?

  68. We freakin love this team and those who continue to throw out vicious comments about our team, I curse you and your team, because for you to act so childish, you don’t deserve a good team. You preach about bad fans, well look in the mirror. These comments are embarrassing to me as an American who served this country twice! You get up on your pedestal and continually troll around instigating hate in a gang like mentality. What in the hell did this team personally do to you to create this bitterness? what in the hell is wrong with you?

Wow… such a wonderful observation… you do realize that they hardly handed the ball to Marshawn?

Marshawn (as well as most any premier running back) lives off the big play.
    He’ll get stopped, but then he’ll bust a run for 12 – 18 yards.
Not his fault that they didn’t get the ball to him.
