Washington defensive tackle Chris Baker pulled Carson Palmer’s helmet off by the facemask in Sunday’s loss to the Cardinals. Understandably, the league office was not pleased.
The NFL confirmed today that Baker was fined $10,000 for the dirty play, which for some reason didn’t draw a penalty flag on the field.
It was the second fine this year for Baker, who was fined $8,268 for the fracas that broke out in the Washington-Philadelphia game. Baker touched off that fracas with a hit on Eagles quarterback Nick Foles, which did draw a flag, but the NFL later said that the hit itself was legal.
