The Bills are on a bye week and they’ll be using some of their time off figuring out how to fill an open spot on their 53-man roster.
The team announced Tuesday that they have placed safety Kenny Ladler on season-ending injured reserve due to an arm injury.
Ladler, who signed with the team as an undrafted free agent out of Vanderbilt, was a recent addition to the roster, making the jump from the practice squad earlier this month when the team placed guard Chris Williams on injured reserve. He saw time on special teams in two of the last three games and made three tackles against the Jets.
The move leaves the Bills with Aaron Williams, Da’Norris Searcy and Duke Williams at safety, which may mean another one will come aboard to replace Ladler on the roster.
