Four starters, including three offensive linemen, didn’t practice Tuesday for the Panthers.

According to the injury report, left tackle Byron Bell (elbow), left guard Amini Silatolu (calf) and right guard Trai Turner (knee) were among seven players who didn’t take part in the club’s second workout of the week in advance of Thursday night’s matchup with 3-4 New Orleans.

Silatolu and Turner both were inactive for Sunday’s loss to Seattle, with Andrew Norwell filling for Silatolu and Fernando Velasco starting for Turner. Silatolu has missed two games in a row, with Turner sitting out his first game Sunday.

According to David Newton of ESPN.com, Bell indicated Tuesday he aimed to play against New Orleans. Bell has started every game this season for Carolina, which leads the NFC South at 3-4-1.

Other Panthers sitting out Tuesday were starting free safety Thomas DeCoud, cornerback Bene Benwikere (ankle), wide receiver Philly Brown (concussion) and tailback Fozzy Whittaker (thigh). DeCoud, like Bell, has not missed a game for Carolina in 2014.

Four Panthers were limited Tuesday: starting right tackle Nate Chandler (thigh), defensive tackle Kawann Short (ankle), tailback DeAngelo Williams (ankle) and linebacker Jason Williams (hip). All four players were also limited Monday. DeAngelo Williams is set to return to the lineup after missing the last four games.
