Rashad Jennings practices Thursday

In a positive sign in his recovery from an MCL sprain that’s kept him out of the last three games, Giants starting tailback Rashad Jennings was a limited participant in Thursday’s practice, according to the injury report.

Jennings’ return to the field after sitting out Wednesday suggests he will soon be back in the lineup for New York, which plays Sunday at Seattle. The question now is whether Jennings will suit up in three days against the defending-champion Seahawks.

“It’s getting close,” Jennings said of his knee on Thursday, according to ESPNNewYork.com’s Kieran Darcy. “Felt like myself a little bit. Tomorrow I plan on doing the same thing, and just going from there.”

New York’s final injury report will be released Friday, which will perhaps shed more light on Jennings’ status for Sunday.

Jennings has racked up 505 combined rushing-receiving yards in five starts for the 3-5 Giants, who are three games behind the Eagles in the NFC East.
