Saints add safety Jamarca Sanford

AP

With Saints cornerback Keenan Lewis suffering from a knee injury that left his knee looking like something other than a knee, the Saints have added another body in the secondary.

Per a league source, the Saints have signed safety Jamarca Sanford.

Sanford, released two weeks ago by Washington, spent his first five NFL seasons with the Vikings.  He has appeared in 70 regular-season games, with 44 starts.

The Saints host the Bengals on Sunday.

  1. Adding a dude who can’t make the horrible Viking roster isn’t going to fix anything.

Maybe you should read up on how the defense is playing.

Congrats on your team limiting the worst team in football (Tampa) to 13 points. Oh yeah … and Kyle Orton to 17 points in a loss.

Any GOOD offense the Vikes played this year have scorched them.

    What’s your point?

Actually sdsmooth, he’s right. keeping ANY team 17 points and under will qualify the opposing defense for AT LEAST 15th in total points scored on defense, in any year. Subpar teams yes, but there isn’t much more you can ask. Wise up. Rams got single digits against the Vikes, and then beat the Seahawks. Also don’t be so naive as to assume that ONLY defense is responsible for points, offense and special teams have something to say about that too.
