The Jaguars had a bye in Week 11, which seems to have left one of their players with a little too much time on his hands.
Cornerback Dwayne Gratz was cited for disorderly intoxication and trespassing in Miami and the Miami Beach police said he left jail at 6 a.m. on Monday morning after making his way through the system. According to the police report, Gratz was arrested early Sunday morning after trying to pay for items in a store with bubble gum.
Gratz was not present at the Jaguars’ return to work on Monday and coach Gus Bradley said that there will be internal repercussions.
“He had an unfortunate situation over the weekend so I expect to see him later this afternoon,” Bradley said, via the Florida Times-Union. “I’ll meet with him and we’ll handle it internally. It’s not good what took place, but it is a matter we have to investigate even more when he gets back here. I want to talk to him and we’ll handle some things with him.”
Gratz has played nine games for the Jaguars this season and opened the season as a starter, but the 2013 third-round pick lost that job a few weeks ago. He got it back after Alan Ball was injured, but had a rough afternoon in London trying to keep up with Dez Bryant in a Week 10 loss to the Cowboys.
