Suh, Blount exchanged words after Patriots beat Lions

AP

Two NFL players with reputations for being hotheads got into it in New England today.

As players walked off the field following the Patriots’ win over the Lions, New England running back LeGarrette Blount and Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh were seen yelling at each other. Several players were between them, and it didn’t appear that it was close to getting physical, but both men were heated.

Blount first came to national attention in a post-game altercation in college at Oregon, when he punched a Boise State player and was suspended from the team by then-Ducks coach Chip Kelly. Suh has a well-worn reputation for on-field altercations.

Whatever happened after the game, Blount got the better end of things during the game: He ran 12 times for 78 yards and two touchdowns.

  1. Yeah, that new-car smell in Detroit is wearing off quick.

Big test for the Bears on Thursday, though.

  2. Suh yelled “You can’t run on us” at one point in (I think) the second quarter. I guess Blount was yelling something along the lines of “Yes I can!”.

  3. Let’s get some facts straight: 1. Blount punched out that idiot on Boise State who got in his face and talked smack. The Boise State player deserved it; if I had been there, I’d have decked him myself. 2. Blount was jerked around by the Steelers, told that he’d get a certain number of carries and then not played at all. 3. Blount has been a model citizen in NE, and they don’t give a crap what the Steelers did or what happened there. 4. He looked like a pretty good player today.

  4. Do find it funny how Jonas Grey misses a meeting and he’s no where to be found. When you are one of the last four or five guys on the roster, you get to team activities early, not late, or Belicheat will can you.

  5. I know the politically correct crowd would prefer they doe see doe to each other and do a nice friendly square dance to celebrate their excellent game experience.

  6. Blount is tough, like Gronkowski. Those are the kind of players you want when you’re playing outdoors in December and January.

  7. I saw Revis lipping off Suh too. The arrogance and audacity on that man who has never won anything and gets paid 16 million a year. In January we will be laughing at the Patriots.

Suh was complaining about the extra cameras the patriots had on the visitor’s sideline.

“Wahhhh wahhhhh spygate” be original crybaby.

  9. Lol Vancouver and Carlos. The steelers liked Blount but bell is simply a beast. As a huskers fan Pains me to say suh shut up. Lions 1 playoff win in 57 years. 58.
    Pats look unbeatable..

  10. know what?

If Suh is yelling, that’s good. Because he’s not doing something stupid. And I never enjoy hearing about people with as much skill as he has do something to get him fined/suspended.

    Hopefully this means he’s learning.

As long as you pasties fans will take the bait I’ll keep reminding you of the facts: no cameras and no rings since. Argue that, Mangini lives!
    Troll posterboy

So you basically just told the world you have no life.

You go online just to get a reaction out of people = loser

What have they done besides averaging 12.6 wins per season, going to the superbowl twice, and going to the AFCCG 5 out of the last 7 seven years. My team…well, I can’t tell you what my team did because if I named them here you all would laugh at me, but they’ll win it all the next THREE years.”

    ——————–

Ha ha. We’re laughing at you anyway. You might as well tell us your team unless you are ashamed of them.

  14. Hell I’m just impressed that Blount was leaving the field with the rest of his team after the game was over.

In Pittsburgh he would already have been dressed and headed toward the bus.

  15. I just find it funny how Belicheat states Blount needs to earn his way back into the lineup and after playing his first week he’s your leading rusher/carries. Belicheat equals Hypocrite. You can’t believe anything the guy says.

  16. I imagine the exhange went something like this: “S:You left the field early last week. B:You left the field early this week.”

  17. Blount has so much talent, but is really stupid.

Flat sucker punches a kid in college.

So what they had words. Like that never happens every play.

  18. I saw Revis lipping off Suh too. The arrogance and audacity on that man who has never won anything and gets paid 16 million a year. In January we will be laughing at the Patriots.

You mean besides getting paid 14 million a year, being named All-Pro several times, and never being known as a dirty player or locker room issue? Revis may demand to be paid top dollar but that is hardly an audacity since the vast majority of people will switch jobs if offered a decent pay raise.

Luckily Revis can look up to Suh as a model NFL citizen…

  19. Any comments regarding Suh’s talent, including the comment above about Blount getting the better of Suh, are just silly and mis-informed. Blount is not in Suh’s class.

Suh will one day have a bust in Canton and Blount will one day be driving a bus after he’s burned through his money.

  20. Say what you want about Blount but in the college game in question the kid walked up to him from behind, was screaming at him and then pounded on his shoulder pads with his fists. Blount’s punch and the kid’s face after he was punched was priceless. Blount should have punched him.

The other player got suspended too by the way.

  21. “I just find it funny how Belicheat states Blount needs to earn his way back into the lineup and after playing his first week he’s your leading rusher/carries. Belicheat equals Hypocrite. You can’t believe anything the guy says.”

Um, I think he earned his way back into the line up by practicing hard as soon as he arrived, and then pounding the crap out of the Lion defense from the first time they handed him the ball. From that point on, they kept handing it to him. But I do see your point that the Steelers would not want to give a guy like that any carries – he’s too physical and he gains too many yards per carry.

  22. Is Megatron slipping?
Browner’s a solid corner but shutdown he is not.

Pats hater cry babies are always gonna hate. you guys should’ve learned by now its the same no lifers that keep trying to get a rise out of you re camera gate.
Just let it go. The trophies are still there and the SB rings still have diamonds in them.
Who cares what outsiders think. Hate on haters.
    It fuels us for #4
