Bengals add Eric Winston

It took a while, but it finally happened.

NFLPA president Eric Winston has a job.  Other than being NFLPA president.

Per a league source, the Bengals have agreed to terms with the veteran offensive lineman on a one-year deal.  For Winston, it’s his first regular-season gig since last year, when he played for the Cardinals.  He spent time before the season with the Seahawks, and he has had several workouts.

Winston entered the league as a member of the Texans in 2006.  He also has played for the Chiefs.

  1. LOL! The Bungholes are stacking up linemen because they know half of their line is about to go on IR after playing us. Pathetic.

  2. Glad the Hawks never let this clown play a meaningful snap for our squad. Never liked the dude since he bashed the entire KC fan base for a few clowns cheering the Cassell injury. I love watching him whine and moan as the NFLPA president about the crappy CBA him and D. Smith signed off on.

So much butt hurt with this jabroni.

  3. The Bengals make the 4th team Winston has played for in the last 4 seasons (he was also signed by the Seahawks prior to training camp and failed to make the final roster). When the Ravens had hired Kubiak as their new offensive coordinator, I was screaming for them to bring in Winston as their right tackle. Since he’s been signed and cut by several teams in the last several years, I wonder if he doesn’t have much left in the tank.

  4. To prepare for Sunday’s game, his first practice drill was to lay down on his back for 3 hours.

  5. Great signing…..can never have too many Olineman. Putzberg’s geriatric Defense isn’t that hard to score on anyway.
Since Big Andre went down RT has been an issue.

  6. “I’d like to sign with you, Coach Lewis, but I have a vacation planned for January.”
    “Don’t worry, you’ll be there.”

  7. The reason why he is available 75% through the current season is becuase he was ranked 77th out of 78 Right Tackles last year by PFF. He totally sucks and I can’t imagine that even decent experience outweighs sitting around for the past 6 months on a Couch. Good Luck with that!

  8. Don’t get your hopes up, you’re a desperate team if you even consider Oprah Winston.

  9. He was horrible as a Cardinal….I thought he’d solidify the right side, but he had his worst PFF rating of his career. He best days are behind him.
