Connor Barwin named NFC defensive player of the month

AP

Connor Barwin’s never been better than this season, and specifically, over the last month.

The Eagles outside linebacker was named NFC defensive player of the month for November after a stretch of games which saw him collect 6.5 sacks.

He’s tied for second in the league with 12.5 sacks this season, which is a career high.

His emergence has made the Eagles defense much more solid this year, which could make them a serious factor in the NFC into December and beyond.

  1. Yes. People taking notice. Hopefully Fletcher Cox will get his love soon. Eagles are very good all around except their secondary is awful. They are very close to being a contender.

  2. Our Front-7 has really emerged this year.
Last year our DC made me nervous with his pedestrian looks but this year I’ve seen enough improvement to have some faith in Bill Davis. Kendricks is also pretty awesome to have too.

  3. Its been a pleasure watching this guy, just a outstanding personnel move to sign him as a free agent….he is a fan favorite without a doubt

  4. Good for Connor! Well deserved!

Another move that didn’t make much of a headline in the offseason but has paid off tremendously for the Eagles.

  5. Connor is the MAN! What an amazing player and team leader. I would like to thank the Texans for letting the Eagles have Barwin, Casey, Demeco Ryans, and Donnie (long ball) Jones! Massive impact on this team. A special shout out to the Saints for letting Malcom Jenkins go to sign way over priced Byrd! Also and most hysterically, thanks again Saints for letting the Birds absolutely bamboozle you by giving away Darren Sproles for a 5th rounder. I would love to know what that 5th rounder is doing fir your team now… Hahaha
