Julius Thomas expects to play this week

The Broncos have seen quarterback Peyton Manning throw for under 200 yards in each of the last two games, something that’s out of character for the Denver offense since Manning joined the team.

Coach John Fox said Monday that he’s not concerned that those results are a sign of any larger problem for the Broncos passing game, although we imagine that no one in Denver would mind too much if things went the other way as they try to nail down a first-round playoff bye and stay alive for the top seed in the AFC.

The return of tight end Julius Thomas could help that happen. Thomas has missed three games and most of a fourth because of an ankle injury, but says that he’s ready to make his return against the Chargers this Sunday.

“I’m looking forward to this week,” Thomas said, via the Denver Post.

Thomas had 12 touchdown catches before getting injured and that kind of production would be welcomed under any offensive circumstance. That’s all the more true with the playoffs fast approaching in Denver.

  1. Saundman, your hesitation is justified after his active but inactive last week. Broncos weren’t going to play him against garbage Bills team at home. But Julius manhandles the Chargers. He had an 80 yard TD in San diego last year.

Benching Orangr Julius is only justifiable if you have Gronk on your team as well.

  2. Have P.Manning & Saunders on my team. Anytime P.Manning only throws 20 attempts for an entire game and has not thrown a TD pass for 7 straight quarters there is cause for alarm!! Not to mention 2 straight games under 200 passing yards?? Come on something is up… yes Manning is older and maybe they are saving Manning for the playoffs (never a bad thing to do) but the previous game stats look like RGIII numbers not P. Manning!!

Time to crank it up!! Come on Manning you are the man!!

In my league, there is no mandatory TE spot.

    I have O. Beckham, D. Thomas, and Josh Gordon. I’m loaded as it’s a keeper league….

It’s not that I don’t believe in Julius Thomas, it’s just that I have better options……guys who are going to get more targets even if Julius is 100%.

He’s not making my fantasy lineup though. I heard the same talk last week.

Oh well…. I have Demaryius too, so I’m good. 🙂

How did the 2 points from Demaryius bode for your team last week?
