Bills continue to come up big in the kicking game

The Packers will have to overcome a second-half deficit to knock off the pesky Bills.

Dan Carpenter’s 51-yard field goal gave host Buffalo a 13-10 edge over Green Bay with about nine minutes left in the third quarter.

The Bills have excelled on special teams. Carpenter has hit both field goals, while Green Bay’s Mason Crosby has had one of his two attempts blocked. Also, the Bills’ lone touchdown came on a first-quarter Marcus Thigpen punt return score.

The Bills’ defense has also had an outstanding afternoon, limiting Aaron Rodgers to just nine completions in his first 27 attempts. Whether Rodgers will continue to be held in check remains to be seen, but this much is clear: Buffalo couldn’t have asked for more out of its “D” and special teams.
