The Jets have added another name to their list of general manager candidates.

The team announced that they have scheduled an interview with Buccaneers director of player personnel Jon Robinson. Robinson joined the Buccaneers last year after spending 12 years in the New England front office. He wound up his tenure with the Patriots as the team’s director of college scouting during a period when they added Rob Gronkowski, Devin McCourty, Julian Edelman and Chandler Jones to the roster.

Robinson will be the seventh candidate to interview for the job, which opened up when the Jets fired John Idzik after the end of their 4-12 season. The other candidates are current Jets exec Rod Graves, Dolphins director of college scouting Chris Grier, Texans director of college scouting Mike Maccagnan, Seahawks pro personnel director Trent Kirchner, Eagles pro personnel director Rick Mueller and Browns exec Bill Kuharich.

The group would be even larger if a few other candidates hadn’t opted to stay put this offseason and the Jets have been similarly thorough in their search for a new coach. There’s no word on which, if any, candidates will be invited to a second round of interviews or if the Jets have a date in mind to make their decision.
