Odell Beckham Jr. is Pro Bowl-bound.

Beckham, the Giants’ star rookie receiver, has been added to the Pro Bowl roster, the NFL announced Wednesday. He replaces Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson, who will not play because of an undisclosed injury.

The 22-year-old Beckham had a sensational first professional season, hauling in 91 passes for 1,305 yards and 12 touchdowns in just 12 games. He was dominant in December, catching 43 passes for 606 yards and seven scores.

Beckham is the lone Giants Pro Bowl representative.

  1. Tell them to stick it. They didn’t select you start with when they should have. Let them play with one of their buddies.

  2. I know Johnson has been banged up and double teamed – with that in mind – this is an UPGRADE.

  3. I think it is funny that the fans vote for the Pro-Bowl, yet we got guys on here saying to snub the game and are mad he wasn’t on the list before now. You gotta vote guys, it’s in the fans hands…

  4. Actually Julio Jones belongs there instead of ODB. Its a total travesty for him to be left off over ODB. Just goes to show its a popularity contest.

A lot of people don’t have time to vote over and over and over again like what I assume is the aged 12-18 crowd does.

  6. It was a tough year to pick receivers. Antonio Brown is the only guy you could credibly say deserved it more than ODB. After Brown, there’s nothing much separating Nelson, Bryant, ODB, Thomas, Jones, and Sanders.

But there’s a whole lot separating those guys from AJ Green and Megatron. Not sure how those two got the nod this year over Sanders, ODB, and a couple of others.

  7. Congrats Odell. From a Giant fan for 40 years, you turned a difficult 2014 season into hope for next season and many more. With Cruz coming back and a new DC, things are looking good!

Translation: Megatron doesn’t care about the useless Pro Bowl; expect about 15-20 more of these “undisclosed injuries”.

  9. Megatrons injury is listed as “butt hurt” after Blandino, errrr the refs picked up that flag and jacked the Lions so the Cowboys could get outta the first round.

  10. Maclin should’ve been named instead of OBJ. If you disagree then you weren’t watching. The guy had a career year coming off ACL surgery and had Foles/Sanchez throwing to him. Better #s than DeSean had as Eagles #1. Grats to OBJ though. Popularity contest.

  11. From a Cowboys fan who lives across the street from the stadium, I have to say OBJ is freaking amazing. Potential to be in the Dez Bryant, AJ Green, and Calvin Johnson stratosphere with ease.

If he had the work ethic of Rice, he could become one of the greatest ever.

It’s is foolish and idiotic to not recognize greatness even amongst your rivals. I am going to hate seeing him 2 x’s a year that’s for sure.

Yet, this is the reason I watch amazing talents play this game, because even when it seems games are getting monotonous, once in a blue moon someone will make a play like OBJ’s catch vs the Cowboys.

THAT, is why I watch the game!

    Congrats OBJ ….

  12. Nice job Odell glad to see you get recognition for the tremendous season you had. Enjoy Hawaii you earned it.

  13. Cancel the Pro Bowl, by the time all the players back out on fake injuries, Manziel will make it. Just give them the honors and cancel the game.

  14. Well deserved, but let’s be honest here. Just about everyone makes the Pro Bowl due to so many players above them dropping out.

Don’t be concerned if Hawaii looks a lot like the Arizona desert.
