Ravens in another bus wreck

Getty Images

This season, NFL teams have been involved in three bus accidents.  The Ravens have had two of them.

Via CSNBaltimore.com, the team bus was involved in a minor accident in front of its Providence, Rhode Island hotel on Friday night.  A similar incident occurred when the Ravens played in New Orleans in November.

The Ravens won that game.  So maybe it’s a good omen.  Or maybe it’s just a thing that happened that has nothing to do with the game.

Either way, if the Ravens win today at New England, maybe they should have a minor bus accident next week, too.

    Wow……..that’s all I can say.

  2. Is there a single positive story to write about Baltimore, outside of Flacco’s postseason excellence?

    ==============================

    Hmmm. Let’s see:

    19 years in existence

    19 consecutive years of sellouts

    10 playoff appearances

    2 AFC Championship victories

    2 Super Bowl titles

Six playoff appearances in last seven years

Probable NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year

Nope, don’t see any positives there!

  3. Haha still ray Lewis murder comments. Unreal how ignorant people are. I hope those comments aren’t coming from patriots fans cus you guys had THE murderer and he actually has killed people!

  4. theravenlives2, don’t kid yourself. The Ravens are not a true expansion team. The guy who moved the team there couldn’t win in Cleveland for 30-40 years but finally managed to win one a few year after moving.

According to the NFL, they are. Look on NFL.com. Established 1996.

They had to get rid of all the Cleveland before the finally won.

  6. Some Raven’s fans take exception on the Ray Lewis and Rice’s comments but some of them still bring those spygate comments up. Contradiction at it’s purest.

  7. Have you heard? CBS is launching the next drama series CSI: Baltimore Ravens, it’s going to be nasty

  8. Vince Wilfork is a train wreck? That makes no sense on any level. Ask coach Harbaugh. I don’t have to buckle my chin strap. I’m not playing. Neither are you cupcake.

Not contradiction – just pointing out hypocrisy of Patriots fans. That, and Aaron Hernandez was a Patriot as well. The Patriots have never been boy scouts. Internet message board idiots could likely point out arrests from every team and many players in NFL history. I think the NFL still has a lower arrest percentage than the average American populous.

  10. Ray Lewis never murdered the two guys that tried to rob him and his friends. The two guys that actually did kill them were later exonerated for justifiable homicide in self defense.

Aaron Hernandez on the other hand had mountains of evidence against him personally for killing multiple people and assaulting countless others.

The patriots were caught cheating and IMO have tainted their so called stories past.

All the Ravens do is win. (Fairly)

  11. Technically speaking the Ravens are an expansion team. But in reality the Browns are the real expansion team when they came back to existence. Only difference is that the Ravens didn’t keep the Browns history when they came back.

  12. Absolutely is hypocrisy. I’ve not heard one Pats fan try to stick up for Hernandez. Not one. Ever. The Ravens and their fans bend over backwards to defend RLewis, build statues to him and give RICE standing ovations. Ravens didn’t want to cut Rice til the truth hit the fan. Pats cut Hernandez IMMEDIATELY while taking a huge cap hit.

  13. I mean, how could anyone root for this guy???

According to the domestic complaint obtained Friday by The Baltimore Sun, Suggs’ longtime girlfriend, Candace Williams, claimed the All-Pro punched her in the neck and dragged her alongside a speeding car with their two children in the vehicle. The woman said she suffered “severe road rash” as a result of the incident.

As is standard protocol in the wake of a complaint of this nature, Suggs was ordered to turn over any firearms in his possession. The Sun reported he turned over seven guns. WBAL-TV reported Suggs surrendered nine.

Suggs does not face criminal charges stemming from the September incident. The reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year issued a statement Friday addressing the issue.

“My fiance and I have two beautiful children together whom we both love and care for tremendously,” the statement read. “The personal issues that the two of us have faced recently have been addressed in a responsible and adult manner and have been resolved. I am certain that we will get through this matter and move forward as a happy family.”

In December 2009, Williams alleged Suggs held her down on the floor, poured bleach on her and their son and kicked her in the face, breaking her nose, according to The Sun. Williams also claimed physical abuse dating to the start of their relationship in 2007.

Williams was granted a protective order as a result of those 2009 claims, The Sun reported. It later was rescinded after the couple reconciled and Williams dropped a $70 million lawsuit against Suggs.

  14. ravensdominate has retrograde amnesia for the 41-7 drubbing that kept them out of the playoffs last year. You’re right. When they’re not losing, all they do is win. Cincinnati on the other hand …

  15. Lol ted please have your head examined and if you type define: hypocrisy into google you might find out what it actually means. Troll

  16. Considering all the traveling teams, of all sports and levels, do it’s kind of miraculous we don’t see one or more wiped out a year.

  17. Big fat Vince Threeforks will be on the sideline by the 2nd quarter trying to stop the run against a this zone scheme, too much running for the teddy bear.

  18. Right, because the Pats had so much trouble with Kubiak’s Texans when they ran his offense. 4-1, most of them blowouts

  19. As a non-Pats, non-Ravens fan I will settle all this. They’re BOTH scumbag organizations.

That said, the Pats should moonwalk through the Ravens today. If they don’t win by 3 TDs they should be embarrassed.

  20. If asswipe Goddell gives Rice an initial 6 game suspension instead of 2, the whole issue is just like any other NFL incident which seems to happen weekly with these players. That is the reason why the whole thing was the story of the year.
As for Ray Lewis, he was there. Did he do something, we don’t know. Did he know what happened, yes. It was 15 years ago and since has pretty much been trouble free and an inspiration to alot of people.
Hernandez, who knows how many, if any people he killed. We will find out. My guess is that the teardrop tatoo might have to be changed to a flsh flood tatoo.
