When it’s time to reduce Atlanta’s roster to 53 players in late summer, head coach Dan Quinn will have the final call if it comes to that.

Falcons owner Arthur Blank indicated Tuesday that Quinn would have the final decision-making power on the roster, the club said on its official Twitter feed.

The Falcons offically hired the 44-year-old Quinn on Monday. He had been the Seahawks’ defensive coordinator the last two seasons. Quinn has never been a head coach on the collegiate or professional level.

Quinn is joining PFT Live on NBC Sports Radio, so be sure to check it out to hear to from the Falcons’ new head coach himself.
