The Bills gave Richie Incognito another chance after it looked like the Dolphins bullying scandal might have ended his career. But they don’t plan to give Incognito many additional chances.
Bills coach Rex Ryan said on PFT Live that the Bills have clear expectations for Incognito and they won’t tolerate him falling short of those expectations.
“He’ll be on a very short leash,” Ryan said. “But again I think that’s something he embraces. I don’t think he’s going to have those issues he’s had in the past. I certainly don’t believe he will and he doesn’t either.”
Ryan said the Bills researched Incognito and are confident he’ll be the kind of person who will represent the Bills well.
“We wouldn’t have brought him into our organization if we didn’t feel that he could be a positive guy, not just in our locker room but in the community as well,” Incognito said.
And if that turns out not to be the case, Incognito won’t last in Buffalo.
