One of the 49ers’ offensive reserves has received a new deal.

The 49ers have signed tight end Derek Carrier to a two-year, $3.3 million contract, Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area reported Monday.

Carrier, 24, played in 11 games in 2014, catching nine passes for 105 yards. He figures to vie for playing time in multi-TE sets in 2015.

The 49ers will have a new offensive coordinator this season, with Geep Chryst replacing Greg Roman, who took the same job in Buffalo.
