Report: Titans, Dolphins, Giants all potentially in the mix for Brandon Graham

Who’s up for more Eagles free agency news?

According to Derrick Gunn of Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia, Eagles outside linebacker Brandon Graham currently prefers the Dolphins and Titans. However, Gunn also reports the Giants could make a bid, too.

The Eagles’ first-round pick in 2010, the 26-year-old Graham has been a reserve for much of his five seasons with Philadelphia. His 5.5 sacks a season ago equaled a career-high.

In Miami or New York, Graham would be a 4-3 defensive end, while he would be a 3-4 outside linebacker in Tennessee.

Gunn’s report does not mention the Eagles, who released veteran outside linebacker Trent Cole last week, thus opening a starting spot at the position.

In February, PFT ranked Graham 26th among prospective free agents, but as the signing period begins Tuesday, he surely ranks higher than that, considering the various deals that already appear to be place between clubs and players, as well as re-signings and use of the franchise tag.

  1. Wait, the Giants are going after a high end linebacker? No, no, no… You got it all wrong. Giants can’t be in the mix there. Reese doesn’t like linebackers.

  2. Does this spell the end of Dion Jordan in Miami? Reuniting with Chip in Philly would make sense given his Oregon ties and that he had the frame that Chip is looking for in a OLB (6’6 and long arms)

  3. Giants aren’t in the mix…never would make any kind of splash in free agency after the debacle that was DRC last year. Back to signing contracts like they did in the late 1920’s.

  4. Please don’t come to the Dolphins. Man they’re trying to replace everyone. This means they’re willing to let OV (who’s way better walk) next year or cut cam wake after this season.

  5. DRC was a debacle? He played well for a guy who was banged up. He and Prince best duo in NFC East. Also, Brandon Graham is no prize. He’s a half trick pony. Clint Sintim light

What are you talking about?? DRC was solid last year. That, and he played banged up and covering guys for 12 seconds with our non-existent pass rush. If you are a blind Reese basher, there’s probably another 10 directions you can go in. DRC isn’t one of them.

  7. Eagles fans stop talking about dion Jordan he isn’t going anywhere for the next two years. The cap hit will brutally for Miami. He’s a key part to our team they use him as a DT, DE, LB and was a beast at ST last year. They need to find a position he can start at….. LB

  8. So the number 3 pick was a beast on special teams last year? Unless he put up Devin Hester numbers you can’t say that a guy who was drafted 3 who the Dolphins traded up for is a beast on special teams. That’s a joke.

I dont care where he was drafted at, he’s behind OV an wake even Shelby at DE right now but he still contributes when he ‘s on the field at DE, DT,LB and ST.

  10. I love how everyone likes to criticize the Dion Jordan pick. Go back and look at the mock drafts and big boards. Virtually everyone had Dion Jordan going in the top 5 or 10. Hindsight is pretty easy huh guys. At the time, every draft expert commented how Miami stole Dion Jordan and gave up virtually nothing to move up and get him. I think he will get moved to OLB and will eventually be a decent starter. I wish we would not have taken him so high but I have the benefit of hindsight like the rest of you geniuses.

  11. GOD Knows we need LB help right now but what we need in a bad way is a decent RB NOW!!! Knowshow will not help this team as last year proved. I’d love to see Reggie Bush come back but Philbin is killing this team one bad no talent pick after another!!! 7-9 this year, FIRE PHILBIN & ROSS SELL THIS TEAM TO SOMEONE THAT HAS A CLUE!!!

  12. Graham may not be a superstar but last year as a role player he was phenomenal. He consistently made plays in the backfield by shooting gaps and getting sacks. Statistically he didn’t shine. Numbers don’t lie but they can be deceiving. He’s a very good role player. Hope the Ducks…..I mean Eagles resign him 🙂

  13. Graham has the potential to be very solid for whoever gets him. Guy made the most out of his reps last year. Will be interesting to see if being an every down DE/LB wears him down over the course of a 16 game season.

  14. The Dolphins do not need another situational role LB! Dion Jordan, McCain and Jordy Tripp are fine. We need a real MLB! Misi and Jelani Jenkins are solid and with Suh in the Middle we can get an early Draft choice there. If he is signed, he is replacing the ST play of Trusnick and Freeney. That is all.
