A big name free agent defensive tackle is reportedly winnowing his list of suitors.

In an interview Tuesday with ESPN’s Josina Anderson, Broncos defensive tackle Terrance Knighton indicated he had eliminated Denver and Oakland from consideration for the time being, saying both clubs “are out of the race.”

Knighton told ESPN that the Raiders made a proposal, but the deal was “not close to what I was looking for.”

Knighton told Anderson there were “a few other teams” he was considering.

Knighton, 28, has started all 32 games over the last two seasons for Denver, which signed him in 2013. He is PFT’s 21st-ranked free agent in the Class of 2015, and he surely ranks as one of the best free agents without the framework of a deal to his liking.
