The Colts continue to add to their free agent haul.

Indianapolis has agreed on a deal with Falcons safety Dwight Lowery, the team said Friday night.

The 29-year-old Lowery was a 15-game starter for Atlanta a season ago, notching 79 tackles and intercepting two passes. He previously played for the Jaguars (2011-2013) and Jets (2008-2010).

Lowery will push to start opposite strong safety Mike Adams in the Colts’ secondary. The Colts released former starting free safety LaRon Landry in February.

The Colts have been one of the NFL’s most active clubs this offseason, adding Lowery, wide receiver Andre Johnson, tailback Frank Gore, outside linebacker Trent Cole, offensive guard Todd Herremans, linebacker Nate Irving and defensive end Kendall Langford to a club that advanced to the AFC title game in 2014.
