Fullback Bradie Ewing, a fifth-round pick in 2012, announced his retirement via his verified Twitter account on Friday.

Injuries limited the 25-year-old Ewing to just two games in three NFL seasons. He missed the 2014 season after suffering a wrist injury with Jacksonville in the preseason. The Jaguars waived him earlier this week.

“Significant to me is that I feel like I am leaving the game in relatively good health considering the many injuries and surgeries I have sustained throughout my football career,” Ewing said Friday in a statement explaining his decision to move on from football.

A Wisconsin product, Ewing played his first two NFL seasons with the Falcons before joining Jacksonville.
