Bengals to keep Cedric Peerman after Eagles showed interest

The Bengals didn’t seem to be in a hurry to declare their intentions for Cedric Peerman, at least until he found an option.

According to Paul Dehner of the Cincinnati Enquirer, the Bengals are expected to re-sign the veteran running back later today.

Peerman recently visited the Eagles, despite their spending a pile of money on front-line backs DeMarco Murray and Ryan Mathews.

The Bengals like Peerman’s ability on special teams, as he has just 64 carries in his five seasons there.

But after someone else expressed some interest, they were quick to realize that, and found room for him again.

  1. Peerman is OK on special teams but the Bengals still doing the same thing over and over, expecting different results.

  2. He`s a very good special teams player and they have Hill,Bernard & Burkhead ahead of him from scrimmage so i don`t think doing the same thing over over is bad if it`s working. They havn`t lost the Playoff games because of special teams so there was no reason to change what is working.
