Chandler Jones: Patriots’ D will be fine as long as we have Belichick

AP

The Patriots’ defense has lost a lot this offseason: Darrelle Revis, Vince Wilfork, Brandon Browner, Akeem Ayers and Jonathan Casillas have all gone elsewhere. But one of the players who stayed says as long as the coach doesn’t change, the Patriots’ defense will be fine.

Patriots defensive end Chandler Jones told the Providence Journal that the Patriots’ defense will be good as long as Bill Belichick is their head coach.

I’m a strong believer in coach Belichick,” Jones said. “Whatever he’s doing, I’m behind it 110 percent.”

Belichick has a long track record of getting it right, even when it looks like he got it wrong. So while it might look at first as if there’s no way the Patriots can lose that much talent and still have a Super Bowl-quality defense, it’s easy to see why Jones is a believer in Belichick. You can’t argue with four Super Bowl rings.

  1. …You can’t argue with four Super Bowl rings….

And yet people here and elsewhere in the web, media, Jets, Colts, Ravens, NFL executive offices and NFL competition committee universe argue, complain and whine about Belichick all the time.

But, try as they might in all sorts of weasel ways, they still have not been able to stop Belichick from succeeding year after year after year……

Belichick does actually have six super bowl rings as he has another two from his years as Parcells’ defensive coordinator with the Giants.

  2. I don’t begrudge any NFL player taking more money to play elsewhere, but if the money is the same and you leave the Pats for somewhere else it is only because you don’t like to put in the effort to be a winner.

  3. Chandler Jones: Patriots’ D will be fine as long as we have Belichick

And play in the AFC East.

  4. The addition of Jabaal Sheard should allow the Patriots to utilize Chandler Jones at any position in the front seven. For the first time in many years, the Patriots can field a unit capable of rushing the passer.
    .

  5. Yeah, that’s a nice sentiment, but I can’t imagine that losing those guys improved or is going to keep that D on par with its late season run last year.

  6. I can’t tell you how grateful I am, as a long time Patriots fan, to have a coach like Bill Belichick, an owner like Bob Kraft and a QB like Tom Brady. This chemistry has made it possible for New England fans to experience one of the absolute best sports franchises in sports history. And yes, as long as Bill is coaching there is very little to be concerned about on both sides of the ball as well as special teams. So we lost a few special players, so what – what’s new? In Bill we trust.

  7. Can’t wait to see how Belichick pulls another rabbit out of the hat this season.

  8. All sorts of reasons why players leave teams. Most of the time it’s about money. But what if BB has a system? A system that says player X will get such and such carries based in his past performance with the pats. What if player X got promised more of an opportunity with another team then he did with the pats but money was the same?
If I were the patriots Fans and I am a huge one, I would trust what BB sees to acquaint them to his system. He knows what he’s doing.
As for other teams coaches, GMs or Fans of other teams… They can whine, cry all they want but they wished they were in our position as patriots Fans. You know… World champions once again!!!

  9. Yep, Revis wanted to go back to the easy life at the country club – but the country club has moved to Buffalo.

  10. He’s kind of right. The team will be successful bc of Brady and Belichik together but there’s no guarantee the defense will be good. In fact, their defense has been mediocre at best, even during their Super Bowl years. Again, this is not to take away from Belichik, he’s a great HC but I wouldn’t be so sure their defense is going to be good next year.

  11. Whywe rule your right…we don’t hear to many posters reminding everyone that B.B. actually has 6 rings and they all count towards his excellance. This guy has been doing a lot of things right in his career. He is great, if not the greatest head coach of all time and it’s high time we all just relax and respect his team’s accomplishments, no matter what team we cheer for week in and week out. Will he begin to have some down years? Sure, he can’t go on like this forever, but these fake sport fans who year after year predict, this is the year he fails should just shutup because your now bordering on plain crazy and proving you know nothing about the game or have the sportmanship to admit greatness when yo see it. If you love this game respect the players and coaches who are the best, even if some of them are called Patriots. I do believe the rest of the East will make things difficult for New England this year because they have put together for themseves some pretty damn good teams but win or lose this year, their run is the most extraordinary in NFL history. I’m glad I witnessed it from the beginning. All hail Bill Belichick you are the emperor!

  12. “Can’t wait to see how Belichick pulls another rabbit out of the hat this season.”

Translation: What rule will Belichick bend, or outright break, this year?

  15. You know, I think Belichick is a great coach, but the true test of his greatness will be after Brady is gone. Then we’ll see just what a genius he is.
I laugh at headlines like this one. Yes, everything about the Pats will be fine….as long as Brady is playing.
Lombardi was a great coach…but not so great when Starr was not the QB. Noll was a great coach…but not the genius after Bradshaw was gone.
I’m willing to say that every so often the star align and give a franchise an incredible talent, like Brady. They make the entire team ‘great.’ But I want to see the coaching genius after he retires.

  16. I didn’t know Belichick was the replacement for Wilfork and a non-existent pass rush.

Cup is only HALF FULL on the D-LINE.

PATRIOTS need some major upgrades from the draft since they tanked in FA.

I think BB & Unrealistic Pats fans have been staring at those FOUR LOMBARDI Trophies too long.

Definitely hoping for another SB win – but we must fill in the blanks on d-line with some heavy talent.

  17. They’ll be “fine” but they’ll still have the worst defense in the division.

Although the whole Tom Brady thing will more than make up for that.

  19. whatacrocker, nflrule, crush22, and voiceofreason01 – I know how you boys feel. It must suck big time to watch your pathetic little teams get crushed by the Patriots over and over again. But hey, don’t feel bad. Maybe your teams will get better someday, when BB retires. By the way, the Patriots don’t cheat, BB just knows the rule book better than the coach of your pathetic little teams.

  20. The Pats record outside the AFC EAST is even MORE IMPRESSIVE so that argument holds no water at all….the Pats play teams EVERY year that finish first in their respective divisions & still win more than they lose…. Just deal with it, they ARE a great franchise top to bottom…to win consistently for 14 years in a salary cap era where systems are in place, (free agency & salary cap), is unbelievable…I for one feel blessed to have been around to watch it unfold & to be honest I don’t see it coming to an end anytime soon…. Brady, BB, & Kraft are the smartest, toughest, determined, trio to have ever represented a franchise in NFL History & they are still writing their legacy!!!
What a great story to follow!!!!
Go Pats, I look forward to the next several chapters have yet to be told!!!

    ************************************************************
How many times have the Patriots swept the AFC East?
As Rex Ryan stated a couple years ago, he wants to challenge the rest of the league to beat on the Patriots because they are beating the other teams as well not just the teams in their division.

  22. Also first of all I hate to say it but Vince Wilfred was average last year. Yes! He will also be in the Patriots HOF some day and well deserved.
But to say he was a main stay in that Defense last year is just nonsense.
Yes we also lost revis and browner… But we have a top 5 LB corp when healthy.
We still got siliga and branch who played just as well as wildfire last season if not better.
We still got a top 5 safety in the league.
We still got Brady and Gronk and Minitron…
And when I say we I mean WE… Bc I buy tickets to games, direct tv, and patriots gear that pay players.
So yes I am a part of it! WE!!!!

    ************************************************************
The divisional games are barely blow outs for the Pats when they win. Go back and look at the games where the Pats had blow out games. They were against teams not in their division.

  24. Unfortunately the competition committee has finally just skipped the pretense and made it illegal for the Patriots to win

Belichick will likely enrage Goodell though, once again finding a loophole in the rule, gaining a Ring for the Thumb

  25. I’m a big BB fan, but I really can’t see there defense being anywhere close to good next year. Belichick’s defensive philosophy for his DL and LB is to stay in the gaps and react to the play happening. He’s NEVER had a line put rushing the QB or blitzing almost on every down as a top priority. Thinking that they’re all of a sudden going to change that with a few additions to the front seven doesn’t quite hold up.

They’re going to be just fine and finish in the playoffs again…but I think it’s more Brady that will cover up for lack of defensive skill as been the case since 2005 up to but not including 2014. 2014 was the first year in a decade that Brady didn’t have to carry the team. Heck, that defense with Revis and Browner carried quite a bit of the load in the early parts of the season.

Belichick’s track record for drafting defensive backs is pretty terrible. He’s thrown a lot of junk at the wall and really nothing has been able to stick. McCourty had a great first season at CB and fell off the map and he was subsequently moved to safety. Beyond that, the last good CB they drafted was Asante Samuel in 2003.

I’ll be curious to see what they do in the draft, but defensively…they’re going to be soft again and I believe, will struggle mightily on third down.

  26. Haters – What part of 12 playoff appearances in the last 14 seasons, 4 Super Bowl wins in that time and a winning percentage of 75% or over in that time is so difficult for you to understand?

An then there is Robert Kraft’s new book. It’s the shortest book in the last 50 years. It’s entitled ‘How to build a championship team’, and it goes like this:

    Hire the right GM
    Sign the checks
Get the hell out of the way

He sent a free copy to Jerry Jones, but Jerruh wasn’t interested.

  27. Dang. I think Mike Smith wrote this article just to wake up Pats haters this morning. Tossing and turning all night in their secret BB hoodie and Tom Brady pom pom night cap. Yeah, there’s a few holes to fill, but they’re not sinking the ship and it’s not like they haven’t been down this road before; it’s just amazing how BB & company can fill their needs in good order with proper talent and smart business decisions, kind of like successfully seperating church and state. Other teams just can’t do that, it’s amazing. If a player wants street ecredit, come play for the Pats, if they want an IQ test, come play for the Pats. If you want money with no accountability and personal structure and Hard Knocks 15 minutes of fame, Pats and BB don’t need you. C. Jones just signed a successful contract with the Pats, to whoever pined that knuckleheaded comment up there.

  28. Sure the Pats lost some great players on “D” but big name additions has never been what they are about in free agency for the most part… Sure they do get one here & there but it’s mostly about depth & finding players that best fit their system & excell at their respected position & best utilize their talents so that they succeed & help the TEAM field the best situational players vs the opponent that they face each & every week…..I love what the Pats have done so far this off season to fill the voids that have occurred, resigning some key players (& not destroying the salary cap to do it),adding depth on BOTH sides of the ball & let’s not forget they will be getting Mayo & Easley back healthy in addition to seeing the development of Butler & who they add in the upcoming draft….to me things are looking very promising & no matter how the media or the trolls like to spin it, the Pats will be a force to be reckoned with for a loooooooong time to come!!!
& to the poster above that makes a valid argument about a BB collapse after Brady is done, it’s hard to debate, but I can only hope that the Pats already have his replacement on the TEAM right now learning from the best & be able to step in & carry on in 4-5 years when Brady does call it a career…. Mr. Garroppolo!!!
    Patriot Strong!!!

  29. The simple truth is that Bill Belichick is just getting better as a coach. His ability to develop players that no other team pursues is legendary. Vince Wilfork, Darrelle Revis and Browner are big losses but Bill assessed each situation and moves forward. He prioritized and he will have the right replacements. It is laughable to think that a team in the AFC East can possibly knock New England off. They may have some good players but they don’t have Belichick and Brady. Their coaches and QBs are simply inferior.
I’m expecting at least a 13 – 3 season and another Super Bowl. It may sound arrogant but true Patriots see it as being honest. Just kiss the rings…

  30. Do “reasonable” people sit in their basements and wait for a post on the Patriots so they can proclaim “Cheat”? I think not-reasonable people realize how great Belichick, Brady and the Patriots are and Know that what they have accomplished is one of the greatest runs in sports history.

  31. “And play in the AFC East.”

    Pats record vs AFCE .750

Pats record vs rest of the league uber Belichick .745

Want to try again? I know actual facts are hard for Pats haters to wrap their minds around.

  34. Imagine if Jimmy Johnson would have stayed in Dallas. Threepeat is obvious, probably a fourpeat. He probably would have had 5-6 rings.

  35. With the exception of Revis, Bill could have easily kept any of those other players had he so desired.

NEVER is a big word. Ever hear of a guy called Lawrence Taylor? As for Browner and Revis carrying quite a bit of the load in the early part of last season? Browner was suspended for the first 4 games. BB adjusts to the talent he has better than most. I’d say 14 years of damn good football, one without Brady, is reason enough to trust that the man knows far better than we wanna be GM’s and coaches how to build a consistent winning team. Chillax.

  39. Doubting the Patriots in the offseason is now part of the natural cycle, like Spring or Winter or Rex Ryan culling a herd of footlong subs of its sicker members. Please keep it up, you’re putting my kids through college.

  40. “…Noll was a great coach…but not the genius after Bradshaw was gone….”
    =============================

Not a Steelers’ fan but I did enjoy watching their rise and success during the Noll years. I think Terry Bradshaw would be one of the first to say that they did not win those 4 SBs because of him.

  41. I can never understand why Belichick’s time coaching Cleveland is looked at as not being successful. He took a 6-10 team to 11 wins in 3 years. The last year was tanked by the owner and the way the move to Baltimore was handled.

Cleveland has not been an 11 win team since.

Any coach that can take Cleveland to that level of competitiveness without a Jim Brown has got to be a great coach. And then there is what he has done in NE on top of that.

Anyone who says Bill can’t win without Brady does not know their NFL history.

  42. Really the key was having a healthy Gronk not a dynamic defense. They were honestly a healthy Gronk away from beating NY in 2011 and beating Baltimore in 2012. So I understand Mr Jones confidence. After all, Revis is the only elite player they lost.

  43. Let’s be honest… NLT one loss really hurts. If Revis stayed everyone would still be picking them to repeat. They could be headed back to a bottom ranked pass defense. They did go to the Super Bowl and play competitively with a team like that in 2011. It could happen again because of Belichick and Brady but they are clearly worse on defense without Revis.

  47. Remember when ESPN tried to tell us that the Patriots players hated their coach? That was back in 2003.

Butler’s play to win the super bowl, a play Belichick prepared him for in that week of practice, is an example of why Chandler speaks the truth.

As for Chandler, he is a talented guy with a great attitude, including a love and appreciation of his coaches and teammates.

  48. The Patriots cheats… That explains why losers’ teams suck. BB defied the memo and their teams lost before the memo was issued. Darn timeline. The Pats did not video the Rams and still won. The Pats are accused of deflating the ball: won with inflated balls. Butler intercepted the ball and losers wonders why he knew just what to do. Cheating. That is the losers excuse for everything. The truth is BB is a Wizard who puts hex on teams that he finds annoying. Even now he is quietly gathering the misfits and then magik them into heroes. That’s why he wears the hoodie to hide his magical mumblings. That yarn is more credible, no?

  49. Losing a corner the size of browner and the skill of revis is a huge setback. It was those guys who put their defense over the top. They picked off that pass from Wilson because of browner. I don’t see the patriots repeating without them.

  50. Parochial pats literally . Can they cash a check? Better yet don’t. Leave the lines decimated for AFCE and others to run over and send Brady scrambling for his life.

  52. BB is a great coach no doubt. But he HAS cheated period!! In the Super Bowl against the Panthers Brady came to the line is scrimmage and God to his offensive line what 4 or 5 of the Panthers defensive players was going to do. This on a play they NEVER did before. To get this information video tapping of the Panthers practices before the Super Bowl had to be done. This type of activity might not be in the rule books, BUT is cheating in my book!! Goodell deleted the evidence of Spygate for a reason!! So no one will ever know how bad the integraty of the game was compromised!!!

Like I said GREAT coach but some of the Super Bowls were tainted!!

You are correct about Browner, but I was talking more about the defense as a whole being able to carry the team in the earlier part of the season.

I was real disappointed losing Revis and to a much lesser extend Browner in addition to… They finally had corners that could really play and a defense that was actually good at getting of the field on third down. Nonetheless…we’ll all be watching!

I’m sure they’ll be good and be right there in the mix of things. The team at the beginning of the year NEVER (there’s that word again) looks the exact same as it does at the end – be it injuries, player performance, etc. One thing that BB is great at is picking guys up in the middle of the year and playing the guys who are going to help the team. He’s not afraid to be bold.

  54. Revis is the only player they lost….Those other guys are all replaceable no big deal players like every other team has to deal with as some players move on. Bottom line is everyone outside of N.E. knows this team can’t win without some type of cheaters advantage.

  55. When Mike Reiss, a real professional, came back from the league meetings and reported that the air was thick with jealousy of the Patriots, that said it all. Owners, team officials, the league office, and opposing players were sure that the Patriots were finally on the downside. The reality was that the Patriots won another Super Bowl and have one of the youngest rosters in the league.

All of these other teams want to say: It’s my time. But its not.

  56. Its been so long since the pats won a super bowl I forgot how good the offseason feels regardless of roster changes. When your team wins the super bowl you don’t stress out even if you know your team might not be as successful because of players leaving. It’s funny because all I told myself for so long is if Brady got his fourth I would be satisfied but now I’m hoping he gets that 5th and makes history. I do know that the pats schedule for next year is easy. We could see 16-0 again if the defense holds up. Happy times in New England!!

  57. Look at the coaches on the other AFC East teams that Belichick and the Patriots have left in their wake since 2001:

    Jets

    1. Herm Edwards
    2. Eric Mangini
    3. Rex Ryan
    4. Todd Bowles

    Bills

    1. Greg Williams
    2. Mike Mularkey
    3. Dick Jauron
    4. Percy Fewell
    5. Chan Gailey
    6.Doug Marrone
    7. Rex Ryan

    Dolphins

    1. Dave Wannstedt
    2. Jim Bates
    3. Nick Saban
    4. Cam Cameron
    5. Tony Sparano
    6. Todd Bowles
    7. Joe Philbin

Do you realize that The other AFC East teams are actually recycling coaches that already failed competing against Belichick and the Patriots?

  58. I’m not a Pats fan, but we’ve already seen Belichick without Brady. His name was Matt Cassell, and the Patriots went 11-5 that year.

I don’t care if you want to have on BB, but at least do so with some accuracy.

    ——————

More fiction from another jealous loser. But I’ll play along …

Why would NE just hand over such tapes if they were so incriminating especially since those are not the in-game, sideline tapes that the league demanded in the first place? Or do you think the NFL just said hand over everything you have and we’ll decide if it’s OK or not?

When there was discussion of a possible Rams SB walkthrough tape, the league concluded there was no tape (because the guy who was said to have taken it told the league he never had one). But somehow YOU know these tapes exist? Uh, sure you do.

And you know EVERYTHING the Panthers have/haven’t ever done and everything NE has/hasn’t done?????? Uh, sure you do.

The Panthers, like the Rams, lost because … THEY LOST. And, that was more than a DECADE ago! You should seek help.

    Next.

OK, I will play too- how did Brady call out specific players at the line and tell his team EXACTLY what they were going to do? 4 or 5 players on a play the Panthers design for a specific reason. Former players were talk show host after their career and talked about the incident. One being on the defensive line and now a current coach in the NFL. At the time before ALL the Spygate stuff he said he could NOT figure out how Brady knew the play.

So if a professional football player couldn’t figure out how Brady knew their never ran designed playe – maybe you can enlighten me? If you do tell me how Brady knew – I will promise you I will contact said retired football player/nfl coach and let him know too. My word to you!! I am Listening…

  66. … yeah, well I have a friend who knows your friend and he says you’re friend makes this hater crap up all the time. FACT!

  67. Brady is a product of Beli cheat not vice versa. Brady was nothing special in college, high school or pee wee. Heck, Beli cheat won with Matt Cassel so he can win with anyone.

Ha, ha! That is funny! You obviously don’t read. It is not my friend, but a former player on the Panther Super Bowl team who also had a local radio show. He gave Brady props at first and thought he was some kind of football genius for knowing EXACTLY what the different players were going to do on a specially designed play the Panthers (did I already mention this before) NEVER ran before.

The ball is in your court still… How did Tom Brady know what 4 or 5 players on the Panthers defense was going to do and call out to his offensive line? Brady called out the different players and said exactly what they were going to do (on a play they NEVER ran before)!! That is key to the entire point!!

If my memory serves me correctly the Panthers were trying to get Brady to roll to a certain side of the field. BUT that was negated with Brady knowing the play the Panthers were going to run.

Still waiting….So, how did Brady know?

  69. “… How did Tom Brady know what 4 or 5 players on the Panthers defense was going to do and call out to his offensive line? Brady called out the different players and said exactly what they were going to do (on a play they NEVER ran before)!!”

    ==================================

    yea, that is pretty incredible…..
….. pretty incredible that no one noticed Brady calling out the D players names and telling his O linemen what exactly what they were going to do. After all, it was only the SB and no one was paying attention to what was going on.

Ah, we have another person that wants to join. Are you telling me you have never see Brady or other QB’s, talk to their line and pointing to different players? Calling out who is the Mike linebacker or making adjustments on want they think might happen (some of these adjustments are made from watching previous game film)? Rarely can you hear exactly what is being said.

You stated that Brady called out “names”. It has been several years since I heard the player, now coach, talk about it he incident (he has spoken on the topic on several occasions). I never said names…I said players. It could have been players numbers or positions.

The Patriots were “accused” of spying and the fans want to blow it off as if it were nothing EVEN though they got the harshest punishment in league history and they want to claim it didn’t happen and no big deal. But then I give a credible account of an actual player that played the game against the team they defend and I ask one simple question that is still not answered. How did Brady know the play the Panthers NEVER ran before?

  71. rady called out the different players and said exactly what they were going to do (on a play they NEVER ran before)!! That is key to the entire point!!

I disagree. The key to the entire point is that you believe some knucklehead’s many-years-later recollection of what may have happened or may have been said.

The ball is your court to (somehow) prove what Brady knew more than a decade ago. Good luck with that. None of us KNOW anything!

  72. The Patriots were “accused” of spying and the fans want to blow it off as if it were nothing EVEN though they got the harshest punishment in league history and they want to claim it didn’t happen and no big deal.

The “spying” was done openly in front of 80,000 fans and many times more watching on TV. But NE wasn’t accused/punished for anything relative to the SB against CAR. I think most acknowledge it “happened” in 2007 in a game the NYJ but not years earlier against CAR in practices leading up to the SB. That’s a fictional claim that you seem to need professional help to deal with.

Wow! A football player/coach in the NFL that actually played the game is the knucklehead. Someone who was in a game with Brady. But you claim to know more than him?…..riiiiight!

We will NEVER know what ALL was done in Spygate!! I find it interesting how Roger Goodell destroyed the tapes so that no one will know. If it was just video tape of signals during a game why would RG feel compelled to destroy them? Doesn’t make sense.

You do realize that BB admitted to Roger G that taping had been going on since he became coach in 2000. Why would it not be plausible to think something like this didn’t happen to the Panthers or Rams? Like I said, before Spygate game out the NFL player I mention thought Brady was a football genius for knowing the Panthers play.

  75. A complete fabrication cropsix…and you know it. The only ones busted for cheating in that SBowl were the Panthers for PEDs

Tedmurph……I never said one time the Patriots were “busted” in the Super Bowl. Please copy and pasted where I said that. I did however quote what a particular player said happened during the Super Bowl.

  77. Props to BB for SB 49 win. I expect deflategate to cost Indy draft picks and NE nothing. Indy on too much of a witch-hunt . So IMO SB 49 win no one can argue that it has an *.
I can’t argue with those that want to put an *** on the other 3 super bowl wins though.$3/4 million in fines and losing a draft pick speaks for itself. Few days after these fines were imposed NFL got MORE evidence and destroyed it on the spot IN Foxboro, lol. So of course people think the whole Spygate situation is shaky.Shame on you Roger.
Ernie Adams,BB,Brady,Teddy Brushci,Matt Walsh, and Goodell all have answers to questions that got put to rest. It’s old news ,no one will ever get these answers.
I don’t think things have balanced out in the AFC East at all. NE is very young and will find a way to come out on top in this division.Buffalo added weapons but still no QB.Jets have same QB issues. Miami might push NE a bit but I expect them to finish second behind NE.

  78. You didn’t use the word ‘busted’. You said ‘HAS cheated, period’. I don’t see the difference. Also, BBuckner NEVER said Brady stood behind the line of scrimmage and called out exactly what 4 or 5 players were going to do. Not even close. The idea that a QB would stand back there and do that is a joke. I suppose cheating made Kasay kick the ball out of bounds too, right? The panthers got outplayed and outcoached in that Super Bowl. The only reason it was close is half of NE’s 2ndary went down with injuries in the 2nd half. Accept it and get on with your life.

Jaxon I don’t know if you are a Patriot fan and if you are…..you are the most level headed one I HAVE ever met. I don’t have any doubts about this Super Bowl. I don’t think the Patriots won it…I thought more that the Seahawks lost it. Dumbest play call I have ever seen…PERIOD! I disagree…no one in the Patriots division will challenge them. ALL the other teams SUCK and have for many many years.

  80. Crop- not a Pats fan . I agree that play call that cost the Hawks will be a stain PCarroll will have always. NE needed another SB title after the helmet catch, and now PC needs another to take the sting outta that game.
You might be right,Suh and other signings will give Dolphins a shot in the arm, probably not enough to close the gap in East though.
