Jameis Winston not visiting Jets after all

The New York Jets had hoped to bring in Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston for a visit prior to next week’s NFL Draft.

According to Rich Cimini of ESPNNewYork.com, Winston will not visit the Jets after all.

The two sides had been struggling with the logistics of scheduling the meeting. Realistically, it likely won’t matter all that much as Winston expected to be off the board by the time the Jets are on the clock with the No. 6 overall pick.

The Jets have done their due diligence with the quarterback class. They’ve looked into Oregon’s Marcus Mariota, Baylor’s Bryce Petty, UCLA’s Brett Hundley and Colorado State’s Garrett Grayson, all four are more likely to end up in green and white than Winston.

  1. He kept trying to visit, and the Jets kept flipping the light switches over to the Giants colors to confuse him. Eventually he just keyed a bunch of cars in the parking lot and ran crying into the woods.

  2. It’s a shame this uncontested thief and probable repeat rapist, will enjoy the privilege of enrichment while playing in the NFL when he should be on trial facing life in prison.
