The Kansas City Chiefs have added perhaps the most talented defensive back in this year’s draft.
At No. 18 overall, the Chiefs drafted Marcus Peters, a cornerback from Washington.
There’s no doubt that Peters has the ability to play in the NFL, but there are doubts about whether he has the makeup to coexist with an NFL coaching staff. He clashed with his coaches at Washington and ended up leaving the team in the middle of last season.
Some thought Peters would fall to the second round because of those off-field issues. The Chiefs felt that he was good enough to take a chance in the middle of the first round.
