  1. Passing on Landon Collins for the 7th or 8th best CB (if even) – as you have the Bears doing – would be extremely dumb.

  2. Pretty good guess at the 2nd round. I don’t think the Jags will take another headcase WR based on their recent experience. I also don’t think Eli Harold will make it to the Saints, but I hope he does. I also think Gregory drops a little further.

  3. Eagles take Maxx Williams? Celek, Ertz and Williams?

only 1-2 of those can be on the field at a given time and we have too many needs elsewhere (CB, SS, OG, etc.)

  4. Fresh off getting over their character issue WR Justin Blackmon they take…another character issue WR in DGB. I don’t think even the worst teams in the league are this dumb

  5. The Eagles still have holes at safety, corner & Oline. Taking a TE isn’t gonna cut it. They already have 3 capable ones on the roster. Best available athlete is a crock when you have glaring needs.

  6. Raider fan, and I’m happy with your pick here, although we have so many holes it’s hard to go wrong.

As a Floridian, I don’t think Mr Khan and the Jags are eager to draft another walking red flag of character at WR anytime soon. Already got one of those on the roster, contributing nothing.

  7. As we all know, Mariota is destined for greatness. Winston, on the hand probably a jail cell. How long before we can declare Wintson a bust? 2 games? 5? Maybe 10 if the Bucs are lucky?

  8. Why on earth would the Eagles take a TE, even if he is BPA? Use your brains.

  9. Dumb, why would we pick a Tight End?

    —-

We? you aren’t on the team.

  10. Patriots are going to be trading all over the place today with all those 2nd and 3rd rounders.

  11. Miami will get Perryman if he is there. They could also get Marpet. PJ due to the DUI will not be in Miami.. Miami has will stay away from drama in this draft unless the kid out of LSU is there in the 6th, they could pull the trigger on that tiger.

  12. Mannn, if Tevin Coleman makes it to the Cowboys without us having to trade up for him, I would be ecstatic. I definitely thought we would taken him had we stayed at 27 or moved back.

  13. No way does Denver take a RB… Good grief. I’m guessing an ILB – Kendricks, McKinney or Dawson – whoevers available at 59 (unless they move up for the one of their choice).

  14. There’s literally a 0% chance Jags take another WR. They just took one 3rd overall last night and 2 in the 2nd round last year. Not to mention Allen Hurns is coming off a real productive rookie year as well. PLUS they may have an extremely talented top-5 pick from a couple years ago potentially back in the fold.

  15. I dont no if Raiders should pass on Randy, he was Raiders mock draft pick @ (4) overall 3 months ago!!!

I don’t KNOW if you graduated.

  16. Well you got 3 right in the 1st round (5 if you allow for Mariota going 2nd even though it wasn’t via an Eagles trade and Clev taking the DT Sheldon even though you had it at the wrong pick). Washington surely threw a wrench in your plans by taking the OL that the Giants wanted all along (blame Callahan, ex-Dallas OL coach who wants D2 in Wash). Personally I wouldn’t have left Leonard Williams on the board but as a Cowboys fan, I’m glad they did b/c no matter how good Scherff turns out to be he’s not going potentially win the game for you in 1 play.

We saw 2 trades in the 1st round involving the RBs. I think we see more than 2 trades in the 2nd with at least one involving another RB.

Whoever gets Sammie Coates….man I’m telling ya!
    ………………………………………………………………..

I would be getting a headache watching him drop all those passes. He is one of the worst WR in this deep class. He is the next Ernest Wilford

Only the Redskins matter. Scott McCloughan is the best GM in professional sports. #HTTR
    ………………………………………………………………….

True he is one of the best GMs in the league.. Until he starts drinking again and goes awol. Which is sad but that’s what his track record shows.

  19. Eric Rowe not going in the 2nd…..? Lol, do you guys even try anymore? If Rowe is there at 52 for the Eagles, that’s where he’ll go. I do like the Eagles drafting a TE though in the 2nd round, in 2018.

  20. Would LOVE for the Cowboys to get Tevin Coleman! He got huge numbers on a bad team against a conference that was much better than people expected it to be.

  21. Bolts aren’t going to take a CB. Least of their needs w Brandon Flowers and #1 pick last yr Verret starting + decent depth.

They have huge needs at NT and OLB so they would take Carl Davis or Jordan Phillips or Nate Orchard

  22. packers will take BAP but i could see Tedwad moving up to get Kendricks at ILB if the cost isnt too high or he falls a little bit.

my guess would be Perryman from Miami if the pack are to choose from whats left and address the Interior backers

  23. I realize these things don’t predict trades, but with picks64, 96,97, and 101 I think the Pats will be on the move for whatever CB they like(ERowe?). The top 4 are already gone and there might be a run on them early to mid 2nd.

  24. I loved Ernest Wilford. Met him on the golf course too. Good guy.

Your Bears pick over Landon Collins is weird and there’s no way the Jags add DGB to the Blackmon debacle. If DGB was all that was left at Mr. Irrelevent and the Jags had the pick they would pass.

  25. Broncos using a 2nd rounder for a RB when they have Anderson, Hillman and Ball? Logic much?

  26. So, with Eric Kendricks and Landon Collins still on the board, the Bears will take a CB that’s not even ranked in the top 100 players? No chance.

  27. Sammy Coates had one play……..go long. The rest of the time he is useless.

  28. Sammie Coates better hope the Patriots don’t draft him. Coates drops more balls than anyone I’ve seen. He’ll be in the Lord Hoodie’s dog house all season long. Patriots would be better off taking someone like Chris Conley from Georgia at WR.

  29. Packers – Nate Orchard ??????

The guy is probably a 5th or 6th round pick.
Ted will take the best defensive player on the board My suspicion is it will be a true Inside LB
such as McKinney. He might need to trade up 15 spots which will cost a 4th or 5th rd pick. Maybe Perryman will be at the #62 pick.

I like Jake Ryan – ILB from Michigan in the 3rd. In that case, a big DT would be my pick in the 2nd rd. Carl Davis from Iowa. Real big and Quick as a cat.

  30. Broncos have 2 good running backs and 1 good offensive lineman. Pretty obvious what direction they should be heading in…

  31. Green Bay DEF takes Denzel Perryman if he is still on the board when they pick in the second round, but I doubt he will be. NO WAY they that Nate Orchard over Perryman. That is insane. No way in the world.

  32. I don’t see a couple things:

    33. Titans: NT Eddie Goldman, Florida State – Titans will go with a pass-catcher and provide newly draft Marcus Mariota targets. They can address the position later. Correction: Dorial Green-Beckham.

    34. Buccaneers: OT T.J. Clemmings, Pitt. – I see the Bucs going with either Fisher or Clemmings.

    35. Raiders: DL Mario Edwards Jr., Florida State. – Raiders are in major needs of inside presence.. I don’t see them passing on Eric Kendricks. Correction: Eric Kendricks

    36. Jaguars: WR Dorial Green-Beckham, Oklahoma. – Jaguars are in need of a lot of things. WR is a major possibility but DGB is off the board. They go with the most talented remaining big bodied defender. Correction: Eddie Goldman

    37. Jets: OT Jake Fisher, Oregon. – Agreed.

    38. Washington: CB Jalen Collins, LSU. – Agreed.

    39. Bears: CB Doran Grant, Ohio State. – Bears need defense but taking a underwhelming player like Grant high second isn’t a good move. Correction: Landon Collins.

    40. Giants: S Landon Collins, Alabama. – Giants were potentially considering going pass-rusher in the first round. Correction – Randy Gregory

    41. Rams: DE Randy Gregory, Nebraska. – Rams are looking to the future. Even knowing they have Nick Foles. Correction: Garrett Grayson

    42. Falcons: LB Eric Kendricks, UCLA. – Falcons want to provide all the targets they can to franchise QB Matt Ryan. Correct – Maxx Williams

    43. Browns: WR Devin Smith, Ohio State. – Browns passed on upgrading their WR core in the first round. They’ll take the someone else though. Correction: Jaelen Strong

    44. Saints: OLB Eli Harold, Virginia. – Agreed

    45. Vikings: OG-OT Donovan Smith, Penn State. – Agreed

    46. 49ers: WR Jaelen Strong, Arizona State. – Niners have glaring needs inside and this is a deep WR core.. They’ll get better value later. Correction: Paul Dawson

    47. Dolphins: CB P.J. Williams, Florida State – They need to take corner but the off-the-field issues are too risky. Correction: Eric Rowe

    48. Chargers: CB-S Quinten Rollins, Miami (Ohio) – Agreed

    49. Chiefs: WR Rashad Greene, Florida State. – They go with the burner from Ohio State instead Correction: Devin Smith

    50. Bills: QB Bryce Petty, Baylor. – Agreed

    51. Texans: ILB Benardrick McKinney, Mississippi State. – Even knowing ILB is a need they’ll go with the highest ceiling prospect at this point. With the coaching of Vince Wilfork he’ll become a star in the future, Louis Nix is likely going to be a rotational body. Correction: Jordan Phillips

    52. Eagles: TE Maxx Williams, Minnesota – Eagles need to focus on improving the secondary.. Correction: Ronald Darby

    53. Bengals: DL Carl Davis, Iowa. – Agreed

    54. Lions: RB Ameer Abdullah, Nebraska. – Agreed

    55. Cardinals: RB T.J. Yeldon, Alabama. – Agreed

    56. Steelers: CB Alex Carter, Stanford. – Agreed

    57. Panthers: DE Danielle Hunter, LSU. – Even knowing Hunter is likely the superior talent the OL cannot be ignored any longer. Correction: Daryl Williams.

    58. Ravens: NT Jordan Phillips, Oklahoma. – Ravens are not afraid of selected troubled talented players. Correction – PJ Williams

    59. Broncos: RB Duke Johnson, Miami (Fla.) – Broncos have greater needs to fill than a 3rd down back. They draft a TE prospect that can give Manning another red zone threat Correct – Devin Funchess

    60. Cowboys: RB Tevin Coleman, Indiana. – Cowboys need to improve their pass-rushing abilities. Correction – Mario Edwards Jr.

    61. Colts: S James Sample, Louisville. – Agreed

    62. Packers: OLB Nate Orchard, Utah. – Packers look to shift Matthews between OLB and ILB and seem to really, really like the potential of both Adrian Hubbard and Jayrone Elliott – Correction: Bernardrick McKinney

    63. Seahawks: DE Markus Golden, Missouri. – Agreed

    64. Patriots: WR Sammie Coates, Auburn. – Agreed

Gregory to the Rams? Aren’t they heavy at DE already?

Chris Long turned 30 and carries a 12 mil cap hit so unless he has a monster year he is either gone or coming back at a very reduced rate. Gregory would be a good depth pick and could maybe be a hydrid LB in their 4-3 scheme due to him being undersized.

  34. Usually I’m ok with PFT’s mock’s but this one seems to have some crazy talk for picks. No way jags take DGB after gathering four decent WR’s and soon to get rid of Blackmen.

And Philly taking a third TE when there are still glaring needs at CB and Safety and still decent players available is nuts.

  35. No Wide Receiver for the Colts? We need our 8th receiver for depth.

  36. Omg I hope this is right and Tevin falls to us. I really doubt he will though..

  37. So ….. how many did you get right in your first round mock?

(Maybe the “mock” means we all get to make fun of you when you get them nearly all wrong.)

    ………………………………………………………………….

They’re going to tell stories one day of a man who foolishly passed up on the Draft’s best player in order to select a Guard.

  39. – DGB isn’t going to the Jags after Blackmon, I could see the Chiefs picking him, taking a shot at a troubled player in Justin Houston worked for them.

    – Maxx Williams would be a steal for the Eagles, with Matthews, Algohor, Ertz, Williams and a still reliable Celek, Riley Cooper would never see the field again.

    – Rams taking the Jets approach to finish 7-9 again, stacked at DL, thin at everything else, good for them they got one of the best players in the draft, too bad he is a running back, cost them a top 10 pick and will have to run past NFC West defensive lines.

    – Why are the Colts not picking a WR? Who said defense is important?

  40. If the Lions take a RB, its likely to add RB Tevin Coleman. They are looking for speed there, not another Bell like back.

  41. I hope the raiders go defensive end assuming there isn’t a run of them right before our pick. Need someone to wreck havoc with Mack

  42. Dont do no more Mock drafts plz! You have the raiders taking a DT when we just gt D. Williams! ? C’mon Man! I think we will go DE.

  43. Dolphins don’t need a CB. Jamar Taylor showed consistant flashes last season prior to being injured. They also have Brice McCain, Will Davis, and Zach Bowman. You can’t tell me one of those guys can’t come out of camp and play better than Finnegan did this past season.

The Fins need a true ILB so I think if either Kendricks or Perryman fall the Fins will pull the trigger. If both of those players are gone I could see a trade down and taking Ali Marpet while securing an extra draft choice.

It’s amazing how big of a difference a GM can either make of break a team. Dennis Hickey (supposedly) was the 4th candidate the Fins offered the GM position to while others declined and he has done nothing but impress since day one. I guess it was the football gods feeling sorry for us from years of Ireland at the helm. If Ireland was still around they probably would have taken Gregory to “replace” Dion Jordan.

  44. How in the world does someone as Terrible as Sammie Coates get before say.. Justin Hardy? I mean anyone that watches college ball has seen this kid tear it up. He is projected as a late round pick, however this kid can ball. I can see the Pats selecting this guy and everyone calling it a genious selection.. As in WOW this kid can play. If the Pats select Coates, I would be delighted as we lack DB in Miami.

  45. Talking about 2nd round ..
I saw alot of bad picks last night , Which makes you think they are a reason these sort of teams are picking high anyway.

For starters if i’m picking in the FIRST round , As a GM i would look around my scouts and ask them to show me the playmakers thats left , The ones that could either get me a TOUCHDOWN in the final minutes of a game , Or on defense who can get me off the field or better a TURNOVER.

Which means you have no business drafting any O-LINEMAN in the 1st round ,Since they are plenty to get in the LATER rounds, or you can even go to the CFL in Canada where they are miles ahead of any of these kids in seasoning anyway.

Plus lets face it you can render any decent O-lineman obsolete if you bring a heavy blitz on his side anyways.( always thought picking O-lineman early that was a GM way of playing it safe with his job, Since he doesn’t want to ever be question if he went in another area and the pick didn’t work out and off the team).

Plus if there isn’t any clear cut franchise guy as QB , no way i’m wasting a top pick in hopes he turns out to be that franchise guy.I can do all that experimenting in the later rounds.

  46. Oh and call me crazy but Walford Tight End out of the U is the next Antonio Gates and he isn’t going past the 2nd. This guy is the real deal. The U has a lot of talent coming out this year that will explode in the NFL. Thanks to AL Golden and coaching staff not able to manage the game and the U loosing, these players are obviously talented and it will show at the next level.

  47. There is an absolute 0% chance the Eagles take a TE in round 2… That’s just stupid. My guess is they address CB, S, or O-line here

  48. Whichever player is picked by Chip Kelly, the best GM in the NFL, that player will be the one all the other GM’s wish they had selected. Go Eagles!

  49. If Randy Gregory is there, I think the Giants are taking him over the safety… Gregory was brought in for a draft visit, and the Giants were originally speculated as drafting him in the first round.. I am thinking they took a look at him as a round 2 option because of his off field issues after failing his drug test at the combine.

  50. I am not sure I could contain myself if the Rams drafted another defensive lineman. That would give them what, 25 defensive linemen on the roster? lol

  51. Thanks for the comments.

Here was my thinking on TE for the Eagles: he’s regarded as the best player in the class, and PHIL released Casey earlier in the offseason. Pass-catching TEs are nice chess pieces.

However, if they go another way, I wouldn’t be surprised.

    — MW

  52. Also, here was my thought on the Broncos and RB: What Kubiak might value in an RB might be different than the old regime. While the Broncos have numbers at the position, they were all acquired under the old staff. Just a guess on my part.

Brought to you by the same poster who pronounced Mike Shanahan as the greatest coach, Dan Snyder as the greatest owner, RG3 as the greatest QB since Elway, Leonard Hankerson as a top 5 WR, and Fred Davis as a match up nightmare and an easy 6 points in the red zone. A veritable Nostradumbass.

  54. Outside of the player in question, I guess I’m the only one who still thinks Paul Dawson is a pretty awesome football player.
Yeah, he stunk at the combine, but you don’t get to be the Big 12 Defensive PotY by arriving late and flopping onto the pile.
All he does is make every tackle.
Wouldn’t mind the Pack taking him at all.

  55. “A veritable Nostradumbass.” best line today, thanks for the laugh I needed one today, of course logical always gives us easy targets…

  56. Rams are going offense in Round 2. Owner wants the team to be high scoring and sexy. Got a fresh face at QB, an elite RB prospect, and he’ll want to add another weapon or protection piece. Trying to pump up the interest and value, as well as his own juice to move the team smoothly or whatever it is he settles on.

  57. The Broncos have a 2nd round RB and a 3rd round RB on their roster from the last three drafts, and neither is the incumbent starter. So they take a RB in the 2nd round in 2015? That’s as dumb as Florio asking for legal advice.

  58. Jaelen Strong will be gone way before that. Devin Smith goes to the Saints. He and Brandon Cooks will make for a scary duo at WR.

  59. The Bengals need a LB. Hoping Kendricks or McKinney are still available. Also possibly Dawson in Round 3.

Another need is TE. Maybe Williams in Round 2 or Huerman (or however you spell that) in 3 or 4.

  60. Maybe if the Bills draft Petty they can make up a little for drafting E J two years ago and selling out on draft picks for Sammy Watkins last year. Mind you I like Watkins but not at the price they payed. There were too many good receivers last year.

Can I get some love PFT!?

Not only did they get him but they traded up!

  63. Also, the commenters were right — the Eagles, um, did not take a tight end.

    Zero points for me.

    Enjoy the draft’s third day.
