Randy Moss on Brady: If he did it, so what?

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell is expected to issue a ruling on Patriots quarterback Tom Brady’s appeal soon and one of Brady’s former teammates offered Goodell some thoughts about what he should do.

Randy Moss spent parts of four seasons catching passes from Brady in New England and said at his football camp over the weekend that he’s “always stood” in Brady’s corner because of Brady’s professionalism. Nothing about Deflategate has shaken Moss’s belief in the quarterback.

“Over some air?’' Moss said, via the Fayetteville Observer. “If he did it, so what? He hasn’t shown me anything but how he carries himself as a professional man, husband, father and athlete. Tom Brady is a pro’s pro. I love the man and everything he’s accomplished.”

Moss’s support of Brady doesn’t come as a great surprise given what Moss’s years with the Patriots did for his NFL legacy. It also won’t come as much of a surprise if Goodell’s ruling is made without much attention paid to the opinions of Moss or any other NFL player that has come down on Brady’s side over the last few months given how little that support meant before Brady was suspended in the first place.
