Rookie safety Justin Cox was arrested on domestic violence charges for the second time in eight months on Monday and the Chiefs aren’t going to wait around to see how the case plays out in the legal system.

The Chiefs announced Tuesday that they have waived Cox. Cox signed with the team as an undrafted free agent this offseason after playing his college ball at Mississippi State.

Cox didn’t play out the 2014 season with the Bulldogs as he was suspended for the team’s final three games after being arrested in November on aggravated domestic assault and burglary charges. He eventually pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor trespassing charge.

He’s facing burglary of a residence, aggravated domestic assault and trespassing charges this time around and isn’t likely to get another look from an NFL team after his second trip on the wrong side of the law.
