Report: LeSean McCoy party is still on

AP

After the Bills pulled the plug on the Instagram post touting a ladies-only party thrown by running back LeSean McCoy, it was unclear whether the ladies-only party would proceed.

Reportedly, it will.

According to Mare McKeever of Philly.com, the party is still on.

“This is 100 percent a private party at a private location. We are being very selective with who we invite. We don’t want a bunch of random guys he doesn’t know showing up,” McCoy’s publicist, Damian Jordan, told McKeever.

Actually, McCoy doesn’t want any guys showing up. Other than the guys he considers close friends, presumably.

Jordan also confirmed that the ladies invited to attend will indeed be signing some form of a confidentiality agreement. But will that really matter? If someone decides to sneak in a phone (surely, efforts will be made to confiscate anything that could capture video or audio at the door) and capture images from the party and sell them to TMZ, what will McCoy do? File a lawsuit?

Then there’s the chance that TMZ or someone else will pay someone in advance to attend the party for the purpose not of partying but of generating evidence of what happens at the party.

The NFL and the Bills can’t stop McCoy from going forward with the party, but they can explain to him the potential consequences, if the Personal Conduct Policy is violated in any way. On past occasions, the NFL has sent letters to players who publicly vowed to inflict injury on, for example, the opposing quarterback with a stern warning of what will happen if the playing rules are violated in the process. With the league so focused on off-field misconduct, there’s not much of a difference here.

Meanwhile, the forbidden-fruit quality of the party, thanks to the buzz resulting from the team’s directive that McCoy take down the Instagram post and the media coverage of the event, could result in even more women attempting to get an invitation. Which could make the Bills and the NFL even more nervous about what may transpire.

  1. Let these guys live. They work hard, play hard so party hard and you curmudgeons who can’t or don’t want to understand that, tough luck. Have a great time LeSean. You are a top 3 RB in the league and you can do whatever you WANT. Top 5 RBS in ProFootball : Alfred Morris, Jamal Charles, LeSean McCoy, Giovani Bernard and Arian Foster. In that order.

    ________

Because if your publicist isn’t going to publicly discuss your private party, then who will? And given it’s been billed as a ladies-only party my guess is he doesn’t want ANY guys showing up, whether he knows them or not.

  3. He will be a huge disappointment the rest of his career. The Bills overreached on this egomaniac

  4. I can’t believe NFL players don’t have more discreet ways to organize these smush-fests than social media invites.

Way too many risks inviting girls based on how they look on Instagram, not to mention STD’s, underage, women determined to get a rich athlete’s baby in her, etc.

  5. Doesn’t surprise. I’m sure many pro athletes plan stuff like this, they just don’t put it on Instagram.

This is what happens when you have obscene wealth and nothing but time on your hands. Football players used to take jobs in the off season to make ends meet. They don’t need the cash now, but it might not be a bad idea for younger players to take part time work in the summer. It’ll keep them occupied and out of trouble.

  6. Quote: “The NFL and the Bills can’t stop McCoy from going forward with the party”

Translation: “Roger Goodell is involved and monitoring the situation”

  7. Somewhere Chip Kelly is smiling; at least for now. Who will be smiling at the end of the day Sunday December 13th?

  8. Everyone stop complaining and lets put our heads together and figure out how to get to this bash.

  9. Who cares??? The “Report:” headline should be saved for important news events, not this idiot.

“Poor bartenders. They’re going to get some weak tips.”

    LOL – great line!!

  11. Call Ted Wells, I am sure he will conclude that LeSean “was more probable than not” aware that deflation or inflation was occurring.

  12. as despicable as I think this is, for some reason, I’m also feeling a bit of jealousy.

Your list is awful. And Gio Bernard isn’t even the best RB on his team let alone a top 5 back in the entire league!

  14. lol oh my the comments on both articles about this party….the guy is a grown man…that’s right, and adult…the guy has worked hard his whole life to get where he is and he makes millions of dollars…what straight guy in this world would not think its awesome to be able to throw a private party with his best friends and a ton of attractive females? he’s doing what he needs to to stay out of trouble as far as age and consent, If you eagles fans are so glad hes gone why all he strong hate still? So many haters its ridiculous. You really think Murray-Mathews is better than McCoy? then why get all worked up over the man throwing a party with the guys he trusts and a bunch of women…btw all 3 of these rbs are on new teams and none of you can predict futures so close your mouths let the player live his life…If you don’t like how he lives his life then don’t monitor what he does.

  15. There is short term stupid and long term stupid. Seems Shady got in line for both. What a joke, this is so going to blow up in his face.

This guy is a pro bowler making millions of dollars, he can’t privately have this party without broadcasting that he is desperate to have women attend.

Also what a creep to have them submit pictures (presumably for appearance approval), sign a confidentiality agreement and be picked up and dropped off with approved attire. If this guy wasn’t a pro football player and was just doing this over the internet he would be investigated and arrested.

  16. Hence the name SHADY. Now all the McCoy backers know why he was traded to the Bills. Sure Chip COULD’VE gotten more for him. But the only teams he was going to were the Bills or Browns. Football purgatory.
For the idiots saying he’s a grown man and he can do what he wants. That’s not the point. There is a conduct policy in the NFL. It Will be violated..Shady is going down fast.

  17. what a turd no wonder chip dumped him for an injured LB. wait till buffalo fans find out about the party bus incident and the 20 cent tip or when he gets tackled and lays there like he got shot then gets up and runs off the field cant wait to watch the circus

  18. 1phillyphan you are the idiot assuming the worst, you don’t know what will happn, but we know youll be sitting pacing back and forth waiting counting down the hours til the party is over to see wh happens….another eagle hater, if you hate McCoy and think hes dumb and is going to mess everything up …why hate so hard? hes not on your team anymore? you should be glad…but you’re not…you’re just a tool that no one wants to use…

  19. I mentally went over the roster for potential invites and laughed when I got to Ritchie Incognito.

Get a strong feeling Buffalo is going to be experiencing some extreme buyers remorse this year.

  20. Shady, just remember that the confidentiality agreement is not valid if anyone gets raped, sexually assaulted, or any other crime that gets committed. And that you will be sued if anything goes wrong.

  21. Are we allowed to point out McCoy’s party is sexist and discriminatory to men? If McCoy can play the racist card, then fair is fair PFT

  22. If you have to sign a confidentiality agreement to go to a party, you probably should not be going to that party.

  23. this is the classic case of just because you Can do something doesnt mean you should. I am beginning to think this guy’s nickname is for real… shadey.
i mean really who with 1/4 of 1/4 of a brain would do something like this under the shining light. ‘private party’?? how the heck did we find out if it is so damn private? this sort of behavior is the sort of thing that makes some folks think, enough is enough, im not supporting these a-clowns in any way shape or form any more.
One thing he has never had trouble with is putting himself at the center of attention and lately its been by doing stupid things, notice i said thingS.

Who wouldn’t want to be young, rich, and surrounded by beautiful girls at a party?

  25. Why can’t the guy have a party?

You guys all must be a bunch of loser bores…

OH NOO HE IS HAVING A PARTY WITH BEAUTIFUL WOMEN… DISGUSTING….

  26. Man I loved this guy when he was a member of the Eagles, and I stuck by him even when the tip fiasco, bus incident etc came out, mainly because I use to work for the Eagles, and in all my interactions with him he came off as a humble, nice guy. I know a lot of what is being reported points to the contrary, and it pains me to see a guy with his level of talent doing these type of things. Hopefully this doesn’t blow up in his face, because I’m not the type to ever wish another person misfortune.

  27. 1) I don’t blame him, he had a season in Buffalo to look forward to, might as well because it’s all down hill after the part.
    2) Where are all the Bills fans? Finally an article that involves the Bills and not Tom Brady and I swear I can hear crickets.

  28. McCoy’s antics are ridiculous, yes. But people are acting like this is the first time he has acted ridiculous before. He’s always been ridiculous. the stories are abundant throughout his career- and he’s still performed.

Let the season begin so all the Monday morning QB keyboard critics predictions can stop.

  29. LeSean will next be writing a book how to lose all your money, job, and money , by just having one party.

    And still blame the Eagles

  30. Shady, if you invite Ray Rice, have the party on the first floor. No elevators!!! Plaxico? holsters mandatory.

Ray McDonald or Aldon Smith?- party can’t be on Bentley Ridge Drive, Santa Clara (or San Jose) or…

My recommendation- have the party in a police station to cut out the middle man, and cut down on taxpayer money being spent rounding up all you fine citizens.

Oh, and be sure to invite Roger. He’ll be better equipped to adjudicate your transgressions, if he witnesses them first hand.

    ………………………………………………………….

    ROFL.

As a die hard Vikings fan, this is exactly the first thing that crossed my mind while reading about this.

There is NO WAY this doesn’t draw some trouble.
BUT!………. he’s young, he’s worked pretty hard it with produced results and seems that he’ll continue to do so. So WHY can’t or shouldn’t he have some deserved fun, his own dime, his own time before camp starts and it’s all back to work?

Hopefully this goes off safe without a hitch or scandal. Personally I don’t see any reason people can or should be trusted anymore, so I personally wouldn’t be inviting people like this to anything I’m doing but, tomato:toMAHto

  33. You’re all laughing at him now but soon he’s going to be the new Adrian Peterson.

Not in terms of running ability I mean. He’s just going to have a lot of children with different women.

  34. But seriously, all of you that are commenting…

Pretend for just a moment that you would be able to throw a party and only invite beautiful members of whatever sex you prefer, whether it be a discreet invite, or something public.

    I mean, really pretend…

    Would you at least consider?

    Better yet…

If Lesean McCoy called you up today with all the deets and an invite…you wouldn’t go?

Such a conservative following on this site.

    Shaking my head without acronyms.

  35. Stupid is as stupid does …………… it’s inevitable something awful is going to happen! Somebody slap LeSean Gump across the face and tell him to wake up!

Hmm well, I don’t see how any of his personal relationships and/or the details of any personal relationships are ANYWHERE close to being my business.

  37. Well let me try this again. Derek Jeter want to be.
(As if this statement warranted a deletion on the first story) What is wrong with this site when it comes to that?

  38. Last time McCoy tried something like this, one of the women claimed she was assaulted and left abandoned on the Jersey turnpike in the middle of nowhere at 2am in the morning. Can only imagine the wacky adventures that await some of the women this time around.

  39. This will not end well. I’m sure someone from the Bills will be trying to talk him out of it. For all those saying that wouldn’t you love to be in your 20’s and have this “opportunity”, you are probably still in your early 20’s. When you grow up, you will come to understand that nothing is given away for free and the world is full of people looking to take advantage of a young man with lots of money. Just ask another Buffalo Bill – Travis Henry. BTW, I’m neither a Bills or Eagles fan.

  40. This is the kind of immaturity we saw in Philly but ignored due to his play. But now he’s not here, and has attacked Chip and the team, so all bets are off. Enjoy, Buffalo. He’ll break some great runs for ya. But you’ll still lose.

  41. I hope something seriously goes wrong at this party. It would make for good lols.

    _________

If that were it, I think we’d all enjoy that. Those of us with a moral compass are probably a little worried about what else is going to happen.

  43. I remember when I was 18 and hosted my first kegger. Man, I thought I was big man on campus and had to let the world know about my party. LOL, dont worry, Shady just going through a phase, dat all. He’ll grow up…………………….maybe.

  44. I hope the women send in photos of themselves looking like Noemie Lenoir and show up looking like Bryant McKinnie.

  45. I really want the Fins to do well now. As to not possibly have Rex as the next coach should they both falter.

  46. I can only imagine what women will crawl out from under the floorboards in Buffalo. Good job LeSean, way to drum up every women looking to get pregnant by a professional athlete. I can see them putting on their wigs and fake eyelashes now in preparation.

  47. If I was still in my 20s and had McCoy’s kind of money I would certainly want to party with a bunch of attractive women. I’m sure there are other ways he could’ve kept it quiet if he had really wanted to, but in my opinion his ego/immaturity prevented him from doing so. So he may get himself in hot water with the ‘moral’ crowd which could wind up biting him (e.g. getting blackmailed, arrested, etc.).

  48. Will there be church services on Sunday morning?

I see the publicist forgot to mention that. Better get him on the phone again.

  49. I remember when I was 18 and hosted my first kegger. Man, I was big man on campus or so I thought. Relax, Shady is just going through a phase he will grow out of……………………………..maybe.

  50. It’s funny how many people care about this. The guy is throwing a party, what’s the big deal? He can do what he wants, it’s the off season. Just show up ready to play when it counts. Go Bills!

  51. Widerightyouloseagain…..Joe, the only circus in town is in Toronto….you should go enjoy yourself and take the family…you certainly can’t take them to an NFL game.

  52. I’m sorry but if I’m a rich athlete I’m not hanging out with random guys either. They are jealous and want to test you. That is how people get in fights or if you hang out in the wrong crowds shot.

Its ok to have random girls around because you don’t have to worry about them attacking you.

So imo I think it’s smarter to do what shady is doing then to go into a packed club with a bunch of strangers like most other players do.

  53. rex is going to not like the attitude of the locals. i can say for sure that they do not tolerate arrogant type`s. i`m willing to bet that once they find they have zero talent at qb, rex and his big mouth will look very very foolish.

  54. It’s a shame McCoy jumped into the gene pool when the lifeguard was off duty.

  55. Chip must’ve seen the “entire ice berg”, not just the tip like most everyone else. I guess McCoy being catapulted out of Philly is starting to make a ton of sense now.
