We might not get Tom Brady news today, but it is Friday.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Chiefs cornerback Sean Smith is being suspended three games,
In April, Smith pleaded guilty to DUI and received two years probation. He gets one game beyond the standard two-game suspension the league normally doles out.
Smith played well last year, and is entering the final year of his contract with the Chiefs, and the suspension may make them think twice about his future with the team beyond the current year. They drafted cornerback Marcus Peters in the first round this year, and they have sufficient depth to cover them the first month of the season.
