Football returns tonight on NBC

It ended with Super Bowl XLIX on NBC, and it returns with a rematch of Super Bowl IX.

Live from Canton at 8:00 p.m. ET, it’s the 2015 Hall of Fame Game, featuring the Vikings against the Steelers.

Tune in for Al Michael and Cris Collinsworth in the booth, Paul Burmeister subbing for Michele Tafoya as the sideline reporter, and Fred Gaudelli and Drew Esocoff orchestrating a TV presentation that is second to none.

You also may see Rodney Harrison and yours truly during halftime and/or during the postgame show, with a little taste of what we’ll be doing tomorrow, when Pro Football Talk returns to NBCSN.

Also, if you’re not close to a TV, you can watch tonight’s coverage via NBC Sports Live Extra, which can be downloaded via iTunes or Google Play (tablet only) or through your desktop/laptop device at NBCSports.com.

Yeah, it’s preseason football. But it’ll still be the highest rated show of the night, by far. Because it’s football, and football is back. Sort of.
