Last year, Bengals defensive lineman Devon Still became one of the most recognizable players in the league, not due to his performance on the field but because his young daughter, Leah, was fighting cancer.
The Bengals, who had cut Still before the season, gave him a spot on the practice squad at a time when he very much needed the health insurance. They eventually added him to the active roster in September.
Still, a second-round pick in 2012, will now head to the waiver wire. He’ll become a free agent if he clears waivers.
He has appeared in 30 career regular-season games in three NFL seasons.
