The Patriots gave veteran wideout Reggie Wayne $450,000 in guarantees to sign with them.
But that may not necessarily be a guarantee he’s hanging around.
According to Phill Perry of CSNNE.com, Wayne was not among the players on the practice field when the Patriots went to work this afternoon.
They haven’t announced any moves yet, but running back Jonas Gray and cornerback Robert McClain, who have been reportedly released, weren’t out there either.
If they part ways with Wayne considering the injuries that have thinned them at the position, it’s not necessarily a good sign for the longtime Colts receiver continuing elsewhere.
