Bills bring back quarterback Matt Cassel

Matt Cassel

AP

The Bills cut Matt Cassel last week, because he was too expensive to keep as a backup.

They have ostensibly found a way to make it more affordable.

According to Vic Carucci of the Buffalo News, the Bills have brought the veteran backup back into the fold.

No terms were announced, but there’s no way it was for the same $4.15 million he was due to make this season. The fact they gave him a $500,000 roster bonus already may have helped the negotiation along.

Now they have a veteran behind starter Tyrod Taylor and EJ Manuel, or at least along with them.
