Asked about dirty play, Suh says: I don’t know what you’re talking about

AP

Ndamukong Suh is on a new team this season, but he’s facing the familiar allegations of dirty play.

After his Dolphins won at Washington on Sunday, Suh was asked about a couple of different plays on which he appeared to take cheap shots. In both cases, Suh said he wasn’t aware of any reason anyone should accuse him of playing dirty.

Although Suh appeared to kick Washington running back Alfred Morris on one play, he said afterward that he didn’t remember it.

“I tackled him plenty of times during the game. So, no, I’m not really sure what you’re speaking of,” Suh said, via Mark Maske of the Washington Post.

Suh also appeared to poke Washington’s Morgan Moses in the eye, but he said the only eye poking he saw was his teammate Derrick Shelby getting poked.

I don’t know. The only guy that I saw got poked in the eye was my guy Shelby,” Suh said.

So Suh is unaware of anything he could have done that anyone might call dirty. We’ll see if the league office sees anything worthy of a fine or a suspension.

  1. If you can’t be punished for cheating you’re definitely not going to be punished for poking out people’s eyes

Save them for Brady , Suh.
    ————————————————————-
He sure did play tough in his game against Brady last year when his team got run over 34-9.

  3. Where are all those people claiming tannehill was great this morning? He looks exactly where everyone thought. A mediocre 10-20 qb

  4. I know the dolphins didn’t even get a fine for tampering with him. Why would the NFL suspended suh for dirty play when cheating out in the open goes unpunished.

  5. Get used to it Miami fans.

Nothing is changing. He will cost you games because he can’t get it through his idiotic thick skull that he doesn’t need to cheat and be dirty to be a beast on the field.

  6. So he’s keenly aware of his teammates possibly being poked in the eye and volunteers that info in his denial/defense. Yet he knows nothing about what he may have done in either of those two incidents. The kick looked more ‘don’t-care-really’ than intentional. But add it all up with his clear history and this sure looks like a scumbag who mastered an act to get away with whatever he can. If so, well played Suh, but you’re still a scumbag.

  7. Coming up twice a season with an outside shot of thrice a season — we can all get our popcorn ready for the Ndamukong Suh v. Richie Incognito war within a war. Those two Nebraska-reared mutants can unleash their own private Armageddon on each other (hopefully with both of them mic’d up).

  8. Much ado about nuthin’ … I didn’t see anything either. He quite obviously “stepped” over Morris, and the inside of the helmet probably “poked” Morris’s eye more than anything else. That’s what happens when you’re trying to stop the most dominant defensive player EVER!!! Geez…

  9. “We’ll see if the league office sees anything worthy of a fine or a suspension.”

Right. Brady cheats and affects outcome of games, putting integrity of sport at risk, and his suspension is overturned. Really think Suh should be suspended for bumping a helmet while he steps over it? If the answer is yes, I’m not totally surprised considering the emasculation of society.

  10. I watched it closely
He moved his right foot and clearly
Deliberately kicked the face mask to knock his helmet off.

Yeah, do it against Brady, that will be the end of him.

It’s going to be hilarious watching this guy along with Rex Ryan’s Bills playing Brady.

I agree. Just like the other 23 times Brady had beat down the Bills….he will again twice this season. As for Suh, remind me again how Detroit and Suh specifically did against Brady last season??!?

  12. The fact that every example you try to make of him he can make of someone else just shows how ridiculous this is. Right or wrong the NFL is filled with scumbags & cheaters currently. Suh just happens to be one of the better ones.

The NFL has been the king for a while but it’s willingness to tolerate despicable players along with the incompetence of management will be it’s downfall. Mark my words. This is just another example.

  13. So every time your team loses just say the team cheated or was dirty, or we didn’t like the way they lined up. Maybe Morris should tighten his chin strap. Poor baby.

  14. I find funny that so many people are bringing the Patriots in a story that happenned in a game between the Phins and the Skins, a sure sign that they are firmly installed in your heads.

  15. I’m a Redskin fan and it really did not look like an intentional kick to me…. Let’s just relax. He’s no saint but that didn’t look like an intentional kick it look like he was just getting up off of the guy.

  16. A win is a win especially on the road on opening day but if we play like this again we lose most games. Don’t want to jump to any conclusions this early on but we look like the usual lacklustre Dolphins for most of this game. Just hope we can step it up.

If player safety were a real concern for anyone this guy would have been run from the league years ago.

    ————–

Name one player he’s hurt or knocked off the game? That’s what I thought. Now take out your tampon or else you’re going to end up with toxic shock.

  18. Nothing about that play was dirty, stop trying to find crap to call on him. He did not kick his helmet off. Sore losers.. Yes the Skins should of won the game and this is coming from a Miami fan who was at the game. But a win is a win and even though I’m not happy with the performance I will take it

If anything he tripped over him, he didn’t even hit him with his foot.
    ____________
Maybe he did, maybe he didn’t, but that’s why you shouldn’t create that kind of reputation for yourself. Ray Lewis; London Fletcher; Michael Strahan– oh ok, he just tripped, Brandon Meriwether; Ndamukong Suh; Cortland Finnegan– That’s a kick. Only you can control how the world views you.

  20. Lol, he totally did that on purpose. It is not pleasant getting kicked in the face mask like that. Been in that situation before and that was not an accident. #dirtydeeds

  21. Trade Suh to the Patriots and then call in a drone strike on Foxboro.

This piece of dirt claimed he accidentally stomped Evan Dietrich-Smith’s arm, too.

  22. Yeah, and that’s what then-Seahawks WR/your former Lions teammate Golden Tate said when a reporter asked him if he pushed off against the Packers.

  23. Just watch the video a dozen times. Morris clearly moves into his way. If Morris didn’t move when he did he wouldn’t even been touched.

    Nothing like the stomp videos.
